Well Howdy there. Seems that you've stepped through into an alternate plane called "the Weird West." Now, most of you may wonder how you got here, but in the Astral there are portals to anyplace were a living (or nonliving) thing thinks.
This world is very similar to the world you are from (Earth, I believe it's called). In fact, the history matches exactly until the year 1863, where some revenge seekin' Indian named Raven and his posse reopened the doorway to "the Hunting Grounds" (and no, these hunting grounds aren't very "happy"). Seems after this point all sorts a' goins' ons have been occuring. Now you've got all sorts of monstrocities, poker playin' magic users, martial artists with unusual abilities, all sorts of crazy contraptions built by "scientists" who get supernatural inspiration, dead rising up from there graves, a maze where California use to be, and a group of people trying to cover up or fix up some o' these things. Believe me, it's a wild place.
I've been watching this place for a while already and have found a pretty interesting group to watch. Below is a hunk of the stuff I discovered around them.
Posse: This is a listing of my posse and what they currently know about themselves. Hopefully this will soon change.
Chavez (Indian knifethrower) we haven't delved into his character yet as he has never really played but so far never insult Injuns around this guy.
Rooster Cogburn (Texas Ranger) Arguing with someone about jurisdiction in Kansas, "You're in my territory, the Confederate States of America." Don't mess with him or you'll be sorry.
Robert Nicks (Undead Soldier) Woke on a river bank with one thing on his mind, Murder. Killed by a rich man on a riverboat for defiling his daughter, then tossed in the river.
NPC's: These are a few non-player characters I hope to throw in soon and will really get involved in the players, either on their side or against them.
Chen Kuo (Martial Artist) Hopefully meet the posse in the Abra Cadabra and A Arab Cadaver adventure.
Relics: Some things are more than incredable than ever before.
Caster Troy's Pistols... (I can't tell you what _they_ do [posse, note the they part of the message] because my posse might be watching.
Hexes: New magical powers to throw around.
Gizmos: My, my, my. Who comes up with these things?
Critters: Some mean ol' nasties that have squared off against this group.
Happenings: Some of the events that have happened to this group of adventurers. (May contain spoilers)
Ol' Folks Home: Characters who were put out of commission due to lack of attendance or other reasons will find themselves here, but will be rarin' to go when they return.
Doc (Sawbones) Woke up one morning knowing very little. He's a very friendly, helpful guy who has a few tricks up his sleeve. (Went away to Berkeley)
John Smith (Tough Gunslinger) quick to shoot, maybe ask questions later. (Moved away to Principia College in Illinois)
Graveyard: Sadly, not everyone lives forever, (unless you are an incredably good or lucky huckster) and this is where they find themselves.
Caster Troy (One Tough Cuss) Put down by the posse for no good reason other than to kill 'im.
Stuff: Just some misc. stuff regarding the Deadlands World.
Take my Deadlands Poll. I'd like to see what people like to play. Would you? (Answer it only once please. Click View Results to... well... see the results.)
An attempt at a Deadlands Wallpaper, tell me what you think. Give the credit to the whole Pinnacle staff for designing such a wonderful game and awsome setting.
If you want to know a lot more head down to Pinnacle Entertainment Group, Inc.
I'm also trying The Great Rail Wars.
