Samhain
Dark triumphs over bright.
The beginning of Geimhreadh (winter).
Now is the time for the deities of the underworld to maintain order.
Samhain

The year dies. No barriers exist between our world and the otherworld, the living and the dead. Extinguish the fires. Allow no wheel to turn. Set aside food and drink. Do not bar your doors or windows, for this is the Eve of Samhain, the night when the spirits of friends and family return to us.
Be at peace gentle souls
Tomorrow eve, the great need fire will be lit on the Hill of Ward. "Tlachtga", we honor you, Goddess of Knowledge.

Come Druid light the fire. We have made the inner shelf. Our chieftains have brought the rowan wood. Our wheel spins in a sunwise direction. Come Druid, Time to light the fire.

Our homehearths need to be lit from the Tlachtga Fire. Rites of Protection must be performed. And Tara awaits to hear the bards and poets remember her brave warriors. Drums will beat. Sword dances and games await.
So light the fire Druid. Turn the Wheel. Samhain is at an end. Now we await the return of light and spring.
