| The first from Pallet
I took the first step out of my house on the way to the lab.
'That's on small step for me, and on large leap for Pokemon kind!' I thought sarcastically.
'Oh, ya right, Sky. Like you're gonna be a pokemon master or something.' I thought to myself.
It was cold. Still dark. Little bits of dawn peeking up in the sky beyond the trees.
The town's dodrio, Mako, had not yet woken everyone up with it's ringing call. It was probably about five. Perfect. If I wanted to get a Pokemon.
I heard a low, deep bark. Myst. My mom's Arcanine. Her single pup, flare, sat beside her. My mom promised me that when i got my first badge, Flare would be mine.
What pokemon to get? Gary was to get Squirtle. I'll get Bulbasaur to beat the snob.
Oak's lab was a mile away.
"Yap!" Flare? he must have gotten out of the pen and followed me.
I turned around.
"FLARE! GO HOME!" I shouted.
"Grooooowwwwlithee!" He howled.
"GO HOME!" I shouted. Not like Flare cared. I'm a failure. The worst. of course, Flare never listened to anyone. I heard a low rumble, followed by a flash of light, and raindrops.Great. Rain, Thunder, Lightning, what else? Flare whined and ran away. I know he hates rain. Well, one problem gone. I realized Oak's lab was not far away now. I decided to run. Get away from the rain. Suddenly, I heard a voice.
"HEY, KID! GIVE ME ALL OF YOUR POKEMON!"
I turned around.I saw a tall woman, I couldn't make her face out. I could see one thing clearly, though. The red 'R' on her shirt.Team Rocket. But In Pallet? Why? it was just dumb. The rarest Pokemon here were Pidgeottos!
"I don't have any." I said, my voice full of fear.
"LIAR! JUST HAND 'EM OVER!" She, who was impossibly stubborn or just stupid yelled. She pulled out her whip! She tried to whip me! I dodged her whip just by an inch! I ran.
"THIS ISN'T THE LAST OF ME YOU'LL SEE!" She said and ran after me!
She lashed her whip at me again! Oww, it hurt. I saw a light! Prof. Oak or SOMEONE was up! I ran up the steps to the lab and pounded on the door, Mira, his aide awnsered.
"Miria! Let me in!"
"Sure, Sky, but why are you up so early? you know prof. Oak gets up at seven!"Miria said
"Team Rocket! Someone from Team Rocket was chasing me!" I said, turning around, reavealing where I was whipped.
"Oh, dear! It isn't too bad, but are you okay?" She said.
"Yes, I threw my scrunchie in the opposite direction of the lab so that she'd think I went the other way." I said.
"Smart kid." Miria said. Miria was the nicest of the people in the lab.She let us play with all of the Pokemon in the lab. The other people uasaully just said 'outta here, kid!' and we left.
"What are doing up at 5:30 anyways?" She asked.
"What are YOU doing?" I asked.
"I wanted some hot chocolate and I was out at home so I snuck in. Want some?" Miria said holding out a cup of Hot chocolate. Mmm, hot chocolate! I love it!
"Sure!" I said.
"Come on, sit down," She said, reavealing a couch. I sat down.
"So, what pokeon do you want?" Miria asked me.
"Well, Gary the snob's getting Squirtle, so I decided to get Bulbasaur!" I said.
"Ahh, using the weakness against the snob strategy!" Miria said.
"Uh, yeah." I said.
So we talked until 7:30.
Suddenly BANG BANG BANG!
"LEMME IN! NOW!" Someone shouted.
"Just a minute!" Professor Oak shouted. He was walking down the stairs, holding a cup of coffee. He awnsered the door, it was Gary.
"Finally up, eh?" I asked Gary.
He stared at me in disbelief.
"But, you're always late for school!" He said.
"Well, that's school. This is the real world Gary, Pokemon."
"Okay, now Sky, come in here alone to pick your Pokemon." professor Oak said.
"Oh, no, let Gary go first. I know he won't pick Charmander. I'm going to get it." A trick.
"Fine, then. I'll leave it for you." Gary was waaay too gullible. Idiot. About 5 minutes later, Gary walked out.
"Heh! I got Squirtle! Have fun with Charmander!" He taunted.
"Never believe what people say, Gary. Step 1 in real life!" I said.
"No," Gary said. He'd been tricked.
I walked into the room, my head high with pride.
"Which one do-" Proffessor oak started.
"BULBASAUR!" I shouted.
"Alright, here is Bulbasaur, and here is your Pokedex, and six Pokeballs."
"Thank you, I won't dissapoint you!" I said.
I walked off, happy for once, to start my Pokemon journey.
Coming soon: Part two!
