Boyish in looks and as a result, people often mistakes him to be younger. Considered to be the equivalent of a hyperactive bishounen. Power (if any): Warding, photographic memory. His powers lie on the defensive side. The only offensive attack he can conjure at any time is probably trapping the offender within a fool-proof force-field. Status: Guide of the 12th portal Personality: Chirpy, annoyingly optimistic in Jadrien's presence, much to the latter's amusement. Prone to making inane conversations. Finds his charge undeniably attractive, and becomes fiercely protective of him. Background: A priest serving under the Peace Goddess Syrene. Orphaned as a child with no traces of his past. Found by a Guide and was raised by her for five years, after which he was claimed by the High Priestess of Syrene to serve in the shrine. Design by: Melissa Koh [safyre@asia.com] Name: Freesia aka Game Keeper Origin: Eastern Neo Atlantis; State of Anya Gender: Unknown Age: Several millenniums old, I guess Physical Description: No one alive knows what he looked like a long time ago, but it was rumoured that he was a heart-wrenching beauty, dynamic & vibrant. Currently, he appears as a deranged, dishevelled man(?) who ought to be put into the asylum for good. Power (if any): None to speak of, or if he had any, it had long been wasted. Status: A former Player; Current Game Keeper Personality: Suffers from split personalities. One moment he can be aware of his surroundings, and another, he is muttering something intelligible under his breath. Basically, he's insane. If he's not doing something harmful to himself, he's doing something bad to his surroundings. In his bouts of sanity, he tends to daydream a lot, reminiscing the past. Speaks very little and observes the world with unseeing eyes. Background: Sacrificed himself so that the other Players from his time could return home. Because of the immortality curse on all Game Keepers, he cannot die, and after living for so long, he gradually lost his senses & sanity. The current Players are not the first to enter Mystique for the past millennia. Rather, other Players had died within Mystique. After so many lost chances to actually die, Freesia threw himself into depression, and ultimately, tried to destroy his own soul. It is rumoured that he made a bet with the Ashka, God of Rebirth with every intention of dying, but as fate would have it, he won the bet and the God of Rebirth became "lost" as a result ^_^' Design by: Melissa Koh [safyre@asia.com] Name: Kae Morisato Origin: Mystique Gender: Male Age: 18 yrs Physical Description: Slim, black hair and blue eyes. Hair at shoulder-length, very scholarly looking. Not much of an athlete, but still a bishounen. ^-^ Power (if any): Affinity with wind and healing magics. Status: Guide Background: Lives with younger brother, Yuji, and is a mage-in- training/scholar. Parents died when he was young, so they live with their grandfather, Professor Morisato. Personality: Intelligent, quiet but remarkably sarcastic and protective of Yuji. Likes reading and making toys for Yuji to play with. Not very friendly-- his world pretty much revolves around Yuji and possibly his Grandfather. Name: Mason Retinair Origin: Western Neo-Atlantis Gender: Male Age: 18 yrs Physical Description: Tall, broad-shouldered with a headful of long, dark hair of an undefined colour. Not really a Bishounen. More like someone whom people will scream "Kakkoi!" at. Dark red eyes that tells nothing. Always seen carrying a small bag. Power (if any): Telekinesis Status: Guide Dice Number: 8 [more like he's in charge of portal 8] Background: He was an orphan who was chosen to be one of the Guides for the Game Players. Nothing else was known about him. One more thing-- don't EVER open his bag. You don't want to know what is inside. Personality: Loves to brood, especially if he was given the chance. Talks only when he finds it necessary, believes that other people's business has absolutely nothing to do with him. Has dark blue eyes, plucked eyebrows (left one is pierced--a silver ring), a straight, long nose and long, sensuous lips. His hair is black with pink streaks through it--colour is changed sometimes but it always has pink streaks. Oh and, he has a long fringe that reaches his chin while the back is long. Power (if any): He knows a bit of this and a bit of that, picking magic spells up from his numerous lovers. He's been taught well about defensive/guarding spells. Status: Guide of the Sixth Portal Dice Number: 2 (erm.. he wouldn't need this, being a guide right?) Personality: He often acts the happy-go-lucky and ignorant rich young man who knows nothing of the rough side of life in high society. It's his habit to use sex to get what he wants (he's firm believer in sex and wealth so I guess being a priest of Myrian suits him well). He prefers to do as little work as possible and is pretty matter- of-fact about things. Despite his seemingly careless nature, he's a very cautious person and don't make alliances as easily as people think (he only has a few close friends). Of course there's a lot more to him than he shows. Background: Rumours were that someone rich took him in when he was a small boy and then gave him to the Shrine of Myrian. There are rumours also of him being left as a babe at the doors of the shrine. Nothing much is known about his past and nothing significant was noticed about him until he turned twelve and became one of the most sought after child gigolos. He was taught well about giving pleasure, and how to defend himself. (It's not know who taught him). His elders at the shrine think that there are a lot of worshippers at the shrine because of him--not that they're complaining much. Rendal's pretty rich from all his activities and often stays with his best friend, Jeral, in town. Personality: (In two words) Completely Lunatic (one can laugh "OHOHOHOHOHO" while conjuring magic is ain't sane). she likes to trick people and luring them into the Forest of no Return with her magic.
