Welcome to version 2.0 of the Platinum Jungle Image Gallery. It's still as small as ever though feedback would increase chances of it expanding ^^ 'is called shameless plug.
S t o r y O u t l i n e :
Platinum Jungle is a yaoi/incest/horror manga by Suzuhara Shino-sensei. Spanning three books, it was first published in 1994 and ended in 1996. The trilogy comprises 10 chapters, 2 side stories and author's end notes.
For most part of the manga, the story focuses on the escapades of Kiri & Kanan, the leads of the entire story. Kiri is a psychic and has the ability to pacify lost souls. Kanan, as his younger brother, is a musician and often accompanies, if not the root, of all the little adventures here and there. More importantly, Kanan is not wholly human. He was brought back to life three years after his death as a baby, and as a result, has to feed on soul fragments to keep his physical body together. Since Kiri is the only one who can obtain the fragments needed to keep him alive, it's pointless to emphasize on their close relationship.
Playing as the villian is Dr. Tsukasa. Obssessed with the idea of immortality & eternal youth, he seeks to control Kiri because of the latter's ability to collect soul fragments, and causes a rift between Kiri and Kanan. He eventually kills Kanan and meets his end with his own greed, when Kiri grants his desire for the soul fragments and ultimately causing his death. So basically, Kiri and Kanan gets back together and takes a bigger step into a relationship that isn't entirely, well, sibling-like.

Suzuhara Shino-sensei's style leans more to the 80's, complete with big eyes that reminds the reader of Candy Candy. However, as the story progresses, the style matures and changes. Instead of the harsh lines of the first book, the later chapters have a softer, more graceful feel to it. Not to mention more beautiful ^^' <sigh> bi.shou.nen...
I'm not sure if Suzuhara-sensei has actually continued pursuing a career in manga drawing as I have been unable to locate any more of her books. And since I'm reading the Chinese-translated version, there's very little left to be said ^^'
I don't have the ISBN of the Japanese version, though if anyone has info on it, please email me so that I can add it here. Anyhow, here's the Chinese IBSN:
