Title: Balance
Author: Sahari Genre: High fantasy; Epic Location: http://sahari.simplenet.com/ Comments: One of the few non-yaoi fantasy epics that caught my attention. Sahari introduces a peculiar concept of four children with special destinies, their trials & tribulations. Suitable for all ages and people who enjoy a fantasy epic without yaoi and the like, complete with the mythic feel of a bard's tale, or at the very least, a fairy tale. |

Title: Closing Time
Author: Allisan Rekrula Genre: Yaoi, romance; Lemon Location: http://members.tripod.com/Allisan/Mainpage.html Comments: As a rule, I don't read romance - even yaoi - if the basis is on love, but this particular story caught my attention, which resulted me reading the entire series (Closing Time is merely one of the stories), until even Aniki was irritated by my insistent clinging on the com. This is probably one of the few original stories I've read that doesn't involve fantasy... |

Title: Court of Eternity
Author: Sahari Genre: Yaoi; Fantasy; Yaoi Location: http://sahari.simplenet.com/shrine/ Comments: The concept for this story caught my eye the first time round mainly because it reminded me heavily of a fantasy manga. Following that were the descriptions of the main characters, all of which were so vivid that I was charmed. This story is a good read, but only if you're not offended by yaoi and the like. |

Title: Dynasty of Ghosts
Author: P.L. Nunn. Genre: Fantasy; Yaoi; Mild Lemon Location: http://rivendell.fortunecity.com/traveller/446/index.htm Comments: A total of sixteen chapters to date, and still on-going (at least when I last checked), and bound to keep you at the edge of your seat if you survive the first chapter. |

Title: The King's Magic
Author: P.L. Nunn. Genre: Fantasy; Normal; Mild Lemon Location: http://rivendell.fortunecity.com/traveller/446/index.htm Comments: I always had a soft spot for court intrigue, after reading David Eddings' Tamuli series. Mostly based on life in court, being with and around the Royal family, and the rivalry between brothers. I rather like the cast of characters, some of whom seem to sport mystery literally. |

Title: Not by Begging on His Knees
Author: Allisan Rekrula Genre: Yaoi; Romance; Lemon Location: http://members.tripod.com/Allisan/Mainpage.html Comments: A continuation of Closing Time and just as good. However, this story, like the many of my recommendations, is heavily into yaoi and thus, should be avoided by homophobes. |

Title: The Prophecy
Author: Becky Genre: Fantasy; Sword & Sorcery Location: http://www.geocities.com/TelevisionCity/3650/ Comments: This trilogy has a certain 'fairy-tale' feel to it. Maybe it's because there's a bard, a sort-of lost princess and a magic battle to put an end to the evil tyrant. However, the 'tone' of the story seems to be set more for girls...you'll know what I mean when you've read it yourself...or any of Tamora Pierce's books for that matter. |

Title: The Tiger Prince
Author: Sahari Genre: Yaoi; Fantasy; Lemon Location: http://sahari.simplenet.com/shrine/ Comments: Based on my favourite genre - no, not yaoi - fantasy. The Tiger Prince has a distinct magical feel about it, and being the fantasy fan I am, I fell for it - hook, line and sinker (whatever that means). |

Title: Winter Solstice
Author: Silveren Genre: Urban fantasy(?); Gothic; Yaoi Location: http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Pagoda/8146/silverplace.html Comments: Intriguing at the very least. Evenly-paced, complete with a vivid description of the characters. A good read for people who don't mind male + male relationships, mild erotica, vampires running amok and beautiful youths. Oh, and don't forget the sweet ending. |
