Title: Aku: Daughter of Kings
Author: Nwanneka Nowkolo Genre: Fantasy; folklore Location: http://www.homestead.com/blacksilhouettescards/Aku.html Comments: I'm not too clear if this story has any basis on history or folklore since I'm none too familiar with Egyptian mythology. This particular cyberfiction flows like a folklore being passed down, which in this case, technically is. Good for a light read and lasts for three chapters. |

Title: alt.confessions
Author: Rowan Wolf Genre: Psychological; cyber Location: http://rowansongs.com Comments: Quite disturbing, if you only skimmed through it the first time. Focus is on estranged mother-daughter relationships, the adverse effects of the Internet on individual lives in general, and how revenge, contrary to popular belief, is bitter. |

Title: The Audience
Author: Rowan Wolf Genre: Theological Location: http://rowansongs.com Comments: Another disturbing piece. Granted, the tone borders cynism or dark parody, or so I believe, but disturbing nonetheless. However, it's has basis on Christainity and should be avoided by people who consider stories as such blasphemy. |

Title: Boil a Manchild for Odin
Author: Rowan Wolf Genre: Urban fantasy; folklore? Location: http://rowansongs.com Comments: Another look at the interaction between trolls and humans in modern times, and the sacrifices made to pagan gods. Based slightly on Norse mythology. |

Title: The Reader
Author: Rowan Wolf Genre: Alternative?; futuristic? Location: http://rowansongs.com Comments: A thought-provoking piece, perhaps to reflect upon society in general? What the author did was to present a alternative world where reading is banned and writing could only result in death. While it's not horror, but the theme does creep the reader out at times. Or at least, I was ^^' |
