Alone, one adventurer wouldn't stand much of a chance against roving brigands, monsters, or wild beasts. But luckily, I don't have to be alone in my travels. As part of "The Company" (for lack of a better name), I enjoy the benefits of an adventuring group. That is, a group of people who can fight and protect me while I cast spells, and a variety of skilled adventurers (rogues, priests, and warriors). The Company isn't exactly an elite group however, and disasterous (and yet strangely humorous) things tend to happen to them. It is new though, and thankfully the mishaps have been kept to a low number (less than two per day).
The Company is made up of eight adventurers, though one of them must stay at home and guard our HQ (or, in other words, one of them has to DM). The members are, in no particular order:
Valtashien, the Necromancer Warlock
Micon, the Priest of the Moon
Matt, the Weenie. Err, Warrior. Heh heh heh.
Nick, the Assassin
Ratty, the Ranger
Stumdrick, the Ranger
James, the Bard
and
Mike, the Crazy Invoker.
They are all 7th level. As far as leadership is concerned, when the group is faced with a decision that must be made, we all do whatever we want to do (unless one of us can convince or threaten the others to do something together). We have no real leader, but we usually all tell Nick what we want to do, and try to get him on our side (none of the players'll mess with him!). Surprisingly enough, this system actually works! Unfortunately, Matt can't seem to understand this... so we usually end up yelling at him and telling him to be quiet (suprisingly enough, that works too! Maybe it's because he doesn't want to mess with Nick...). Anyway, that's The Company.. I'll upload character sketches when I make 'em.
