Rumors have always flown wildly within the halls of Atesh-Gah, but the most recent one comes from the Chambers of Thalia Khalida. Supposedly, the woman has assigned a drunk, one Salmalin al'Sar, to be the Varati Ambassador to the Sylvans and made the halfbreed shudra, Faanshi, his assistant. It is still questionable as to whether Thalia Khalida is the Maharani, given the other rumor that Khalid had removed her from power. However, the God-King is most certainly not in Haven at the moment and his Empyrean wife is acting as if she is his Voice. Some Varati believe that the animals calling themselves Sylvans deserve no better than a drunk and a halfbreed, while other are insulted that Thalia Khalida would choose such creatures of low status to represent the Varati.

With the dramatic return of Behzad Warlord, Hakan Adham-Numair al-Behzad, rumors have flown throughout Atesh-Gah. It is said that Khalid Atar has truly set aside the Queen-Maharani and is about to give her to the long missing Warlord as punishment (though whose it is uncertain). Other rumors state that he brings word of Khalid Atar taking a new wife from among the Atarvani, one who /actually/ understands the surahs or that Thalia's status has been reduced to that of consort and that she is a wife no longer. Yet still more rumors hint at events more dark and sinister than the marital squabblings of the God-King and his Empyrean woman. Whatever the case, the Thalia Khalida, still for the moment Queen-Maharani of the Varati, has announced that she will be holding a formal court to dispell the rumors. All Varati are invited to attend, but all clan representatives, diplomats, Warlords, Shakirs, and other leaders present in Haven are commanded to attend or to send a proxy if they cannot.

With all the women filling the halls and byways of Atesh-Gah, it is not surprising that rumors of a female nature follow their footsteps. The latest hot topic is the wide variety of cosmetics and scents that the Queen-Maharani received as a gift from the halfbreed merchant Grace. Apparently, some Varati women do consider the Queen-Maharani to be a fashion trendsetter and they speak of obtaining some exotic perfumes and colorings for themselves. Supposedly, Grace's wares are from a far off land known as Aegypt and they are like nothing which has been seen before in the halls of Atesh-Gah. The ears of the merchant are only a Herald away. Women with a man to impress or rivals for his affection to eliminate should summon Grace for a private consultation immediately. After all, these new cosmetics and perfumes are all the rage.

Warriors and Agni-Haidar left Atesh-Gah some weeks ago, disappearing on a mission that is rumored to be directly related to the return of the Behzad Warlord. As rumors fly, it is announced that the Queen-Maharani will be holding a formal court to address certain issues involving the security of the nation as well allow for formal introduction of clan representatives. Anyone with matters which should be brought to the Queen-Maharani's attention should be present at the formal court.
