It has come to my attention that there has been an increase in hostile activity within the province of Avalon. To that end, our Empyre has been contacted for assistance against a number of Varati raiders of undetermined affiliation. With the approval of Emperor Jove, we have sent a number of troops into the region to maintain the peace, and to defend the citizens of Avalon against further attack.

As in any conflict, the reasons behind the sudden increase in attacks has prompted many a rumor, and it is my hope that between our two nations, we can lay them to rest. I hereby request a meeting with your person to discuss this matter, and the situation in Avalon in its entirety. Do but name the place, and I will arrive as soon as I am able. I will, likewise, bring our Ambassador, Deus Cassius Augustin, if his presence will put your mind at ease, or help to facilitate our discussion.
