I regret that I must bring this to your attention, but as your loyal servant, I feel I must. At the recent featival to Invoke the Flame, I exchanged words with the Messala Warlord, Sumai, first asking him about his offer to the fires. He claimed none, saying that he had sacrificed the time of his men to guard the wood. I explained that it should be a duty and not a sacrifice and he then went on to mention things about sending his own men to fight. I will admit much of the evening after that was a blur, until I met with the man again on my way back to Delphi. I overheard him expressing interest in punishing some Sylvans who may have been responsible for raiding our festival. I will admit to interrupting and ordering him, as Estrel and Nabi, that he was to do no such thing as that would bring about political enmity. The affair will be handled by the Hounds and the Estrella. He then proceeded to turn his armed men on me...their crossbow bolts aimed, and claimed I was to give him no orders. With all due respect, Your Holiness and Majesty, this man has, as far as I can see, comitted treason. First, he refused to send his own men off to support You, Holiness, and then he turned weapons on an Atarvani. Such behavior is not to be tolerated, and, as Your appointed Nabi, I would request a hearing. Have the other Atarvani convened, if you wish, but I would have this man tried and if found guilty, he must suffer the consequences of his treason. I write this as Nabi, Holiness and Majesty, and request that any disloyal to You be punished and removed.
