Subject: Invitation (Thu May 11 10:51:44 2000)

In flowery language, an Atlantean Herald in full regalia of the Ormani Decemvirate speaks to explain:

"In the Atlantean manner, marriages, even those of state, tend to be preformed with only the involved parties, priesthood, a small number of family and friends, and those chosen to be given the honor of serving as witnesses present.

"Part of the ritual is the couple symbolically sharing their thoughts and minds on a deeper, more intimate level than ever done among those who are not married, making sure they know and understand each other completely. The ritual makes this usually less public a ceremony than other races use.

"Due to the death of Okalani who was to have preformed the ceremony and is friend to the Ormanis, marriage of Rhys and Riva will be preformed by the Cyclos of the Ormani Decemvirate and kept as the ritual alone, the celebration and reception to meet the newly married couple delayed until after the period of mourning.

"You are hereby invitated to share this occasion with Rhys and Riva which is due to occur Friday at 11 am on the beach at Haven,"

A written invitation accompanies the verbal one.
