Most Honored Maharani,

By your command the khansamah says now that I may have the required paper from 
the supplies in Atesh-Gah but I will try to use as little as possible. I will 
try to write very small and not to spill the ink. He also corrects my spelling 
and says that I did not put an "h" at the end of "khansamah" and that I did not 
spell Tritonides right either. I am sorry for my error.

I have been given a set of garments to wear inside Atesh-Gah and am ordered to 
keep them clean for when you return and require me. I use my old clothes when I 
go to Bordertown though because though I try not to get too dirty there is much 
dust in the summer time and much dirt in Bordertown though the Mongrel people 
try to keep their houses and persons clean. But the houses are old and crowded 
and animals sometimes have to be kept inside them because they do not have more 
room for animals. Also sometimes when I find someone I have to heal there is a 
fight or an acsident and it is hard to keep blood off clothes. Kosha gets dirty 
too and I have to wash him.

The Mongrel people I talk to do not say much about the Atlanteans except that 
they do not like very much that they got stopped a lot on the docks by the 
Atlanteans. The Hounds stop people of Pandian by the docks from doing the 
searches. The khansamah says that Pandian is like a Clan for the Atlanteans 
except that the word is Desimvirit but he does not know how to spell it. The 
beggars in the market say the Atlanteans do not pay attention to them so why 
should they pay attention to the Atlanteans. 

So I talked to a herb seller that I know who is Atlantean and he said to me 
that he does not think much about the priestess who is missing because she is 
Delphi and he does not like Delphi very much because they do not like him 
because he is a herb seller and not a healer at Delphi.

The Domina Ianthe of Avalon says that her people have not found any sign about 
the missing priestess but that she hopes the best. My friend Nine Fingered Rab 
says that he has not found any sign either of the priestess, even small bits, 
but I do not think I want to know what he meant even though I think he must 
have been teasing.

I went to the library to ask the archive keeper if he could tell me how to 
spell Pandion and Decemvirate because I remembered that Atlanteans came to 
Atesh-Gah two years ago and the Amir-al commanded me to heal the Imphadi 
Prince Kuronbo. The archive keeper told me how to spell the words right but I 
will not waste the paper to write the page over again.

There is not a new Provost yet, at least the beggers who talk to me in the 
Rialto say that there have been no announsments that say there is a new 
Provost, but they say that there is a woman named Auvrey who was helping the 
Provost and now she is doing his duties now that he is gone. She is a Mongrel 
and she believes in the Amir-al and prays sometimes in the temple. She used to 
be a shudra in Clan Khalida and has red hair. She is very beautiful.

There is a Sylvan I keep finding. His name is Prying Eagle and he gets in much 
trouble though he is kind and I do not know why so many people seem to fight 
with him. I have healed him once but every time I see him he is running or 
climbing or someone is chasing him. He keeps trying to tell me he is in my debt 
because I healed him but I try to say that it is because of the holy surahs 
that I heal and not so that people will give me things. I found him last time 
on a boat with a halfbreed who has wings and pointed ears, when he got in a 
fight and got hurt and there was a snake on the boat that bit the other 
halfbreed. I healed her but she must have healed him because he had fainted 
but he was not hurt when I got there. Kosha killed the snake and we cleaned 
the blood off the boat. 

The Domina Sinara found me in Bordertown. I do not know if you know who she is 
so I will write that she is a great healer who healed my teacher Fallingstar 
who was blind, and she is an Empyrean but she has an X on her forehead. She 
asked me why I heal the Mongrels and says that Bordertown is hers but also 
said that I should hold up my head when I walk in Bordertown because I am a 
healer. I saw her again when I took an Empyrean boy who was lost back towards 
his home but found a man in a fight who got hurt. There were people around the 
fight who did not like me because they do not like Varati and they were angry 
with me. But the Domina said that I should look up and that they were not my 
oppressors but I do not think she understood that some of the people did not 
like me and that I am shudra and it is my place to serve. She went away before 
I could try to explain.

Some other people also asked me why I heal the Mongrels. An Ushasti came to me 
and asked if she could go with me to Bordertown to heal them and she would 
bring a guard because she is kshatri. I do not know why she wants to come with 
me but I will do ask she asks. Another Ushasti who helped me when I went to 
serve Clan Behzad asked me some questions about what I know about the Holy 
Mother and I think maybe she wanted me to spend time with the priestesses of 
Ushas but I dare not because the Amir-al ordered me to persuade Imphada Kiera 
to be in Haven more and I did not get to do that so I must obey the Amir-al.

A vaisya man who is a shaper also asked me why I heal the Mongrels and I tried 
to explain but I do not know if he understood.

The Honored Imphadi Warlord of Messala asked me if the Varati are my people or 
if the candala and kafir are my people and if the second is true then why. I do 
not know why he asked me this and was scared but he was wise and saw that the 
question confused me. I tried to explain that I am not sure if I really have a 
people but I do not think that I explained it right. 

That is all that has happened to me and I am almost out of the back of this 
page and I have used two pages so I will stop now. The khansamah says that I 
should sign the letter like this
