A very cool dark elf who ends up being the hero in these very cool books. He has cast himself out of the dark paths of Menzoberranzan, where he found out that he did not share the ruthless, brutal, Lloth-worshiping characteristics of his kin. So he left the underworld and came to the surface to start a new life. He met many hardships, but with his magical cat, Guenhwyvar, and his own excellent fighting techniques, which were taught to him in Menzoberranzan, he managed to survive and find some friends near the Ten-Towns area, where he currently resides. His skills with the scimitar are almost legend, and he's a pretty damn good shot with a bow as well! He also has violet eyes, which basically mark him as not one of a "normal" set of drow, which I personally think is very cool.

This magical cat actually resides in the Astral Plane. A small onyx figurine of a panther is the key to calling out Guen. This panther originally was the property of an evil drow wizard, who sent Guenhwyvar out to senselessly (well, to Drizzt) kill other animals. Drizzt killed the wizard and stole the figurine. This magical cat is not only a powerful weapon, but also Drizzt's companion. Guenhwyvar seems to understand what Drizzt is going through, and will tenaciously defend her friend.
Guenhwyvar has stats too...Stats of Guenhwyvar
A friend to Drizzt, he is a rough-edged dwarf of the Clan Battlehammer. He tends to think, as do most dwarves, that all other races, including his friends' races of human and dark elf, are insignificant as compared to the dwarves, but under his rough facade, he cares deeply about Drizzt, his adopted daughter, Catti-Brie, and the youth Wulfgar, and will do anything to keep harm from befalling them. His one quest in life is to retake his childhood home of Mithril Hall, as he has tried to coerce Drizzt into going with him since the two have met.
An orphaned babe on the outskirts of Termalaine, she was found by Bruenor and taken in as his own daughter. She is skilled with a longsword and dagger, and she is also able to use a bow with some skill. Caring, and loath to kill without a good reason (I'm even talking Goblins, here!), she is another favorite of the Forgotten Realms world. She has picked up the dwarven accent from her life with Bruenor, so at first glance, some dwarves may wonder where her beard is!
Taken prisoner by Bruenor after his tribe attacked Ten-Towns, he soon learned that there was much to life besides attacking and defeating other towns and tribes as was the life of a barbarian on the tundra of Icewind Dale. He is a skilled fighter with his war hammer, Aegis-fang, which was crafted especially for him by Bruenor. He will defend friends to the death, and will not take insults against him, or his friends, lightly. He seems to have taken a liking to Catti-Brie....
The typical villan of a story, he exists to hunt down Regis, the halfling, who has stolen a rare gem from Pasha Pook's theives guild. He is Drizzt's equal in battle, and the two spar many a time, but always as Drizzt appears to be getting close to finishing him, he finds an escape. Entreri is a skilled assasin and thief, those that are in his way, are likely to find a jeweled dagger in their heart. For all his faults, though, you have to respect him, he never gives up.
The halfling spends his days lazing around and trying to keep his belly full, letting others do the work for him, but he is a loyal companion to Drizzt, Cattie-Brie, Wulfgar, and Bruenor. He abhors violence, but he does carry a mace, which he will only use if he is pressured to. He also carries a magical ruby that he stole from the thieves guild that he worked for in Calimport. The ruby carries the power to entrance the one looking at it and persuade them to believe, or do anything that they are told by the ruby's bearer. This he stole from his former master, Pasha Pook, who now has it out for poor Regis.
She is one of the most powerful wizards in all of the Realms. She is friendly and open, and has taken a liking to Drizzt in Streams of Silver , as he is allowed to visit often, after initially being turned away by her guards for city safety reasons. She realized that this was wrong, and now extends special invitations to Drizzt to allow him to visit Silverymoon.
