She wore boyish kiminos, talked in a boyish way, and wanted to be a samurai. Her father taught her all the techniques he knew and was strict about it. When Mizumo was 13, one night when her father was gone, two friends of her father came, they had very grim news. They hesitated at first, but told theyoung girl the news that ruined her life...her father was murdered.
She was sent to stay live with her aunt, but because of her father's murder, she became determined to find the killer. At age fourteen, she ran away, with her fathers' katana. She spent 5 years searching, but no luck. When she came to Tokyo, something in her mind told her that she might find the answers there and ends up owning a shop and living in Tokyo.

She woke up, yawning, her head hurting from another night on the forest floor. Her legs ache and her filthy kimino, wet from the rain, gave her whatever little heat it had. She sneezed, her nose red. She groaned, "Why does this always happen to me?" she wondered at loud.
She looked up and wondered, *Where am I?* "Excuse, young man," said an unfamiliar voice. Mizumo looked around, then saw a merchant with a trade cart.
"'Young man', I'm not a man, I'm a girl," she replied, not surprised, but annoyed.
"You are?!" the merchant was suprise, but when he took a closer look, he noticed that her hair was girlish and her figure different from a man, but her voice gave the main clue, "Oh, gomen, I thought you were a lost man."
"I am lost, but not a man," she said, then she rubbed the back of her head asking, "Can you take me to the nearest city, please?"
"The nearest city was where I was at, but it's only a few miles out of my way, I guess I could bring you there."
"Arigatou," she replied, then gotten on the cart.
During the ride the merchant began to ask questions, "Why are you wearing a male kimino?"
"I'm not like normal girls," Mizumo replied.
"Where are you from?"
"Kyoto"
"Those swords, are they metal, and if they are, are you planning to steal this trade cart," he sounded worried.
"Yes, these are metal, but I can't allow myself to do such an evil thing," she smiled.
"Well, keep those swords out of sight, there out-lawed."
Mizumo laughed, then said, "Just get to the city."
When they arrived there, she payed the merchant 3 gold coins, and walked off. It was crowded. She walked through, then asked one of the people, "Where am I?"
"Tokyo," was the only answer. Mizumo looked around and found a store that looked abanded. Curious, she looked through the windows and saw it was abandoned.
"Young sir, are interested in this store?"
"Hai," Mizumo hates seeing lonely things.
"Well, if you want, for a price I'll sell it to you."
Agreeing, she paid the woman and opened the door. She didn't why she bought, it wasn't that she staying unless...
"Is the answer here?" she said to herself. For the first time, she felt that the answer is here, in this city. Mizumo looked up and smile, picked up a broom and began sweeping.
