-Name: Yari no Kaze
-Type: A long spear (6'0 feet tall) made of steel but can cut through objects thanks to the sharp object embedded on it's tip. It's color is a dark blue and the blade is a faint green. On one tip there is the mounted blade. And on the other there is a face of a lion. The fighting style he uses is very complex. He makes do with his own fighting style. He rarely uses the bladed edge, instead, he uses the blunt edge to strike the sensitive points of the body, like the shoulder and the solar plexus...
-Attacks:
Kaze Kiri (Wind slice)-
An attack that flings sharp stones at the opponent using the sheer velocity of the swing.

Kyoryokuna Kaze-
By swinging the staff in a large arc, he forces the opponents back using the side off the spear then slashing him with the spear like protrusion downwards.

Steel breeze-
Ryo thrusts the sharp edge into the ground and then uses it to propel himself towards the opponent and then slams his foe with the side of the spear.

Flying Raven-
An attack that involves Ryo jumping off from the wall and towards the enemy with his spear slightly tucked near his shoulder, the blade just several inches beyond Ryo's head. Ryo would constantly jump from floor to wall to floor to wall and in some cases, off the ceiling. This move requires much power and stamina to pull off and oftentimes leaves Ryo tired and heaving.

Ripping Raven-
Similar to the flying raven attack but instead of thrusting, Ryo makes a single jump off the wall or ceiling and spins his spear from side to side, ripping anything to shreds on contact. Ryo has to stop the spinning long enough for him to get his balance so that he can stop the impact whe he comes crashing to the floor or the wall. He usually uses this move to clear a room full of foes quickly.

Raven flash-
Ryo uses the same Flying raven technique of jumping on the wall but instead, he lobs the spear towards the enemy then he body rams his foe. This technique has only one real purpose, to get the enemies weapon away from his hands. Since the spear is really used as an item for distracting the target, he is relatively defenseless if this technique fails. He has approximately 0.8 seconds to keep his balance on the wall, more than enough time for any master swordsman to avoid his spear and move in any direction.

Swooping Raven-
Ryo dashes quickly towards the enemy and pretends to thrust at the enemy when the truth is he really took a quick side step, making him seemingly vanish right in front of the enemy. Ryo usually attacks from the back and disables his target by hitting the shoulder blade or the spine. He rarely uses this move on any master swordsman since the attack becomes very predictable when seen at least once.

Art of War-
This is the desperation move of Ryo. Ryo puts himself in a state of mind so deep and so hidden in his subconscious, he doesn't know what he really is doing. At this point, his mind can put aside any kind of pain and work 10 times better than before. The only problem is that he cannot control any of his actions, or can he prevent himself from lashing out at anyone else. This usually happens when Ryo reaches a point of intense mental stress or severe anger.

Frigid Javelin-
A technique that Ryo would never dare use except if it's an emergency. Ryo executes the Kaze Kiru (Wind slice) attack, and follows up with a flying raven attack, jumping off several times and ends it in a raven flash if the flying raven is unsuccesful. The sharp stones are used as a decoy for him to set up the Flying raven attack and if he's lucky, will give his target several wounds, a big difference when you're fighting someone as good as Kenshin... This move is guaranteed to tire Ryo out and after this, the chances of him executing the Art of War is impossible as he more likely than not, is already unconscious, thanks to all the moves he has just executed.

With his short semi-shaved hair style and his frail figure, he looks more like a normal everyday boy rather than a battle hardened wanderer. But when his clothes are removed, the horrid whiplash scars on his back make people think twice about this young man.

Appears to be a very quiet person and a very reserved one in fact. He will never talk to anyone he doesn't care about and sometimes he wouldn't even talk to you even though it's very important. He will only joke if he wanted to (Which is once every RED moon!) and will only smile when he feels like it. However he is very polite and will only answer to those in authority. People constantly think that he hates people just for the badass look and all, but the truth is, he just has fading trust in people (Read history). He has fallen in love countless times, but never with a girl and he has never experienced the love of a woman. (Check history again for the details...)

As a young boy, he lived in a small village on the eastern edge of the Japanese map. His parents, Kyosuke and Nabiki Kazeki, were the village leaders. His village was invaded by a group of foreignners that took advantage of the seclusion and location and took over the village. Due to it's seclusion, none of this ever reached the rest of Japan and he was brought as a slave to the leader of the invaders, Kinnison Steinberg. He was held as a slave when he was only 8 years old. He eventually became close friends with the son of his captor. The name of the boy was Charles, who at that time, was 11 years old. When he reached the age of 12, he had a relationship with Charles (Now 14 years old) and was eventually found out by the guards. He was brought to Kinnison and he was given to the guards to treat as they wish. The guards however were sadists and they whipped and tortured Ryo until he was able to get free thanks to a key dropped by a guard. He killed Kinnison and killed most of the guards as well. In his rage, he killed most of the people in his village as well. However, due to his state of being berserk, he is still unsure of whether or not he killed Charles. He left his village along with his weapon that he used to kill Kinnison which is the Kaze Yari. He travelled and took up an interest in drawing and this became his personal hobby. Eventually ending up in the Kamiya dojo since he knew Kaoru from before, decides to leave the dojo and stays with Wataru Shiro instead.

• His favorite spot is a small grove near his village
• He has an Earring that was given to him by Charles when they were still kids
• He is afraid of going back to his village, out of the fear that they might hate him
• His family is long time friends with the Kamiya family.

• He has a Saitou Hajime kinda style when it comes to insulting people, which he does a lot. (Y'know, everything has to be sarcastic with tons of animal references such as the infamous chickenhead...)

Farewell It's almost dawn... I've got to say goodbye already to home... Kinda' easy to do, seeing that it's not really my home. It's been nice staying here, but fun's over I guess. I can't stay here forever, not here... My yari... Well, I guess it's time for me to get going... I don't want to kill, but if I have to, I will do it again...

"Ryo? What are you doing, son?"
"Hn? Oh, it's you... I'm leaving, I thought I should say goodbye first. Thanks for checking up on me, maam."
"Leaving? What do you mean?"
"Goodbye is goodbye... That's all I'm saying. Thanks for taking care of me these past few months..."
"What do you mean you're leaving! You're not going anywhere young man!"
"I'm no longer young. I can take care of myself. Please take care of yours..."

I'm sorry Miss Ryouji, but I have to leave. I don't want to be a burden to you anymore. I want to thank you again for taking me in as your son, but I know I'm not.

"Ryo... I took you in as my own son, why...?"
"It's just because I am not what you hoped I am... I know that I am not your son I don't want to leave you alone here, but I have to find a way to stop all the corruption in the government..."
"No you can't!" She cries. "Ryo... You can't..."
"Miss Ryouji, please wipe your tears... This isn't the last time we'll meet."
"But you're still a little boy... You can't do something like change the face of Japan! You just can't..."
"... Are you finished...?"
"Huh?"
"I said, are you finished...? I don't want to see my mom cry in front of my eyes."
"Ryo..."
"Mom... I haven't called anyone that in years... It's been a pleasure staying with you. But still..."

Standing up and facing the door once more, I pick up my Kaze yari and leave mother on the floor with her tears still flowing. I'm sorry mother... No... Yukina...
