The party (Bonzai, Unnamed Sorcerer,
Frosty) was hired to break into a small corp complex and steal a disc.
On the way there, Unnamed Sorcerer felt the irrestible (seriously wink
wink) urge to steal another disc, which lay right next to the one they
were assigned to steal. They made their way back out without difficulty.
Frosty tried to de-encrypt the disc with his rudimentary
knowledge of computers. As expected, he failed. One piece of infor mation
they did glean from the disc was a memo sent by "SWV" to "Jack", instructing
Jack to "pay Cain the ork for his services...". Checking out the name "Cain"
with their fixer, Gruff, our heroes found 23 possible matches. They decide
to ask George, their trollish bartender firend, what he knew about "Cain"
the next day.
One the way home that night, Bonzai was accosted
by six burly orks and a tall, silver-haired male elf. After asking him
about the "Falchion-Sigma II" and getting know response, they beat him
unconcious and strip searched him. Finding nothing of real instrest, they
left his clothes and equipment strewn around him. Bonzai overheard the
name "Jack".
George knew nothing, but Bonzai recognized one of
the orks in his bar as one of the attackers. He was seated with seven others
of his kind. Bonzai foolishly picked a fight with their leader, Cain. Cain
told Bonzai to meet him out back. Bonzai went out back and got stabbed
repeatedly, but in the processs shot three orks (including Cain's right
hand man, Scare) with a flechette-loaded shotgun. Cain and most of the
others ran off at this point. jake, a young ork, tried to kill Bonzai with
an offensive hand grenade, but failed and fled after kicking Bonzai in
the head when stopped.
Unnamed Sorcerer healed Bonzai and they took the
heavily bleeding Scare to Montreal General Hospital ER. Meanwhile, dark
figures grew angry, and Jake vowed reveng
