United Order of the Knights
An Alliance Pact Proposal between 5 soon-to-be-allied Guilds
The WKV, KOC, KOE, and the KFK
Preface
Several things are to be explained in this proposal, and many fears answered. This is not a merge. All Guilds will retain their independent and individual identity. So hence, there is no change of name. Just an organization of alliances and a governing Council by which to over see the current alliance and new alliance with other legit guilds and groups, such as A.R.C.T.I.C.
This pact is to be established with the notion of Brotherhood, Honor, and Peace between the scattered legit guilds which roam Battle.net
I present to you a proposed Charter, one by which a proposed Alliance Pact could govern itself by.
?Those who follow the Light, must Unite.?
Charter
1. Member guilds and members therein are not to engage in any form of Player-Killing. This can and often will lead to petty, personal wars to which no gain is ever found. This Order is to be founded on the ideals of Peace, and not to lower itself to the level that of a PK.
2. Member guilds are to respect the individual sovereignty of the other member guilds which compose the UOK.
Minor Violations
2a. Crimes committed within the member guilds and involving only members of the aforementioned member guild are not under the jurisdiction of the Council of Knights nor the Judge Advocate Council. What the UOK asks of it?s members is to share the information it has of the offender on whether he/she has left in order to ensure other guilds that they will not be targeted. It also helps the member guild sharing such information to better police themselves of illegit players. Punishments determined by the member guild.
2b. Crimes committed against a member of a member guild by another member of a member guild are under the primary jurisdiction of the member guilds of the members involved, but is open to being overseen by the Judge Advocate Council in order to better advise a course of action. The Judge Advocate Council presents itself in the matter of the crime to also offer an impartial and fair judgement. Punishment is determined by a mutual agreement of the member guilds involved.
2c. Crimes committed by an individual member or members of a member guild against the UOK is under the direct jurisdiction of the UOK, and minorly reviewed by the member guild leaders or those not involved in the crime. Punishment is determined by the UOK Judge Advocate Council. It is to be carried out by Abjucators of the JAC.
Major Violations
2d. Any crime directly committed by a member belonging to a member guild of the UOK against another member guild in its? entirety will not be tolerated in any way. The member?s place in the member guild will be closely looked at an scrutinized, and the crime will be reviewed under a careful eye. The UOK has the authority to expel the offender from the member guild if to alleviate any rising conflict.
2e. A crime directed against the UOK by a member guild in its? entirety will NOT be tolerated in any manner whatsoever. It will be considered an act of war unless proven otherwise. If the guild proves it was wrongly accused, expulsion from the UOK can be avoided. If not, banishment if seen fit will be permanent.
2f. Clauses of 2d and 2e are amongst the highest crimes and the punishment is severe. The offending party or parties are and will be alone in the matter
3. Council of the Knights
3a. The Council of the Knights is comprised of three members from each member guild of the UOK. This is not limited by level, rank, or class in the member guild. The representatives are chosen by the majority of the member guild to duly represent and voice the opinions of the member guild that they are from.
3b. The three must select a primary, or First Councilor. This designates them the primary voice of discussion in Council meetings. It also grants them the right of one vote towards deciding the matter at hand. However, if it is seen that the First Councilor is not acting in the best intrests of the guild he/she represents, the Second and Third Councilors are given the right to overturn the First Councilor?s vote with two of their own.
3c. Placement on the Council may or may not be revoked by the UOK majority or the member guild?s decision.
3d. A High Councilor is either selected by the Founder and Prime Minister or is elected by a majority of the Council members.
3e. A majority of the Council can overturn the decisions of the High Councilor or Prime Minister, or vote out or in a new High Councilor or Prime Minister. Election of a new Prime Minister or to overturn his decision also requires the majority vote of the Judge Advocate Council.
4. The Judge Advocate Council
4a. The Judge Advocate Council is comprised of one member from each member guild. He/she must have a complete understanding of the UOK Laws and the laws of each member guild. He/she must also possess a fair and impartial mentality, and compose him/herself with dignity and give punishment fairly.
4b. The Advocates, which compose the JAC, are first nominated by their prospective member guilds, and then appointed by the Judge Advocate and Prime Minister.
4c. Abjucators are appointed by each Advocate. The Abjucators are to be very active and participate in any and all UOK/member guild activities. These are the watch-dogs who seek to ensure the sanctity of member guilds. If asked a question by an Abjucator, members are well-advised to answer truthfully. Abjucators are to file an incident report with their corresponding Advocate to ensure a fair and impartial judgement of the offenders involved.
4d. Judge Advocates are selected by the Founder and Prime Minister.
5. Member guilds will retain their independent and individual identity. This includes all rules, rankings, titles and identifying tags. The UOK is not a merge, but an organized alliance pact between four Knighthoods.
6. Previous Alliances - Guilds are to respect the terms of any original alliances held with the member guilds mentioned above. Also, they are asked to respect any additional terms as per membership in the UOK
7. Diablo Activity - The UOK consists of guilds which are primarily established in the realm of Diablo. A base set of UOK policies pertaining to legit playing in Diablo are to be abided by in addition or similar to those of the member guilds. Member guild interactivity is governed by the policies with each Member Guild as well as the UOK. Member guild interactivity rules foremost instead of the UOK in this situation.
8. Starcraft/Brood War Activity - Many guilds as of late have expanded into the world of SC/BW and the UOK fully supports Co-op interactivity. Member guild interactivity is freely governed, if at all, and members can engage in any amount of game play so long as common rules of fair play are abided by.
9. Abusive language, manners, and attitude, whether implied or otherwise, is not to be tolerated. Disrespect, and implied intent to overthrow, harm, threaten, will result in severe reprecussions. Continued disrespect will be met with banning from the channel of the guild or member you so seek to insult.
