RPG Reviews

Chrono Trigger is a game that takes place in a lot of different time periods. The main character Crono is a swordsman who in the beginning of the game go to the Millenial Fair at Leene Square. Chrono Trigger has some of the best music from a game from the Super Nintendo. The game has two battle style from which you can choose (Active or Wait), me personally I like the wait the turn-base feel of the game makes it feel more like a Final Fantasy game. The characters in the game are very immersive and the graphical detail to the game itself is very well done. You can't help but get drawn into the story. You'll travel through different time periods trying to the save future from the evil magical being name Lavos which you can challenge early on but I don't recommend it. The story wasn't dry like some RPGs. The developers focused on very correct dialogue and gameplay giving us an RPG that will be very well loved all the way into the next millenium.

What can I say about this game but totally awesome this Squaresoft game was one of the first Action/RPG made by Squaresoft notice I said made, Alcahest wasn't made by Squaresoft just published. Secret of Mana is one of the most original games for the Super Nintendo. The battles were in active time and there weren't any random battles don't that sound great. Anyways when I first started playing the game I was impressed at how good the graphics were, I had a PC and games graphics for the PC were just awesome, but I took a look at this game it just blew me away at how colorful and detail the backdrops, characters, and spell were. To tell you just a little bit about the story your lead character which I named Randi comes upon the Mana Sword which unleashes all the monsters throughout the entire land. You get kicked out of your village but not with out fighting your first monster. The negative side to the battle was weapon recharge time you can still attack but if you want the full potential of your weapons' impact you need your weapon fully charged. You come upon two more characters who'll become important in the game, but I thought they just got in my way. So play the game and enjoy!
