Welcome to the 3d gallery, a place where I will show some of the stuff I have made. As I don't have unlimited space for this homepage, I can't have other artists pictures up but if you want me to have a link to some of your pictures, please send me a e-mail and I will make a link.
I have been using Autodesk 3d Studio for some time now. I got the hang of it for about 4 years ago and since then been addiceted to it. I love to watch movies where there has been used 3d effects and I also just love to watch introes from games like Wing Commander, Dark Earth and so on. The idear about creating a whole world has always attracted me, first when I started to write stories and then when I was introduced to 3d programs. One of my dreams is that Im going to be able to help with creating a 3d world like the one in Daggerfall, just more with a Bladerunner/Gotham City asmosphear.
Autodesk 3d Studio is a dying breed, replaced by 3d Studio MAX, LightWave and others. I have looked at 3d Max, but since I got such a lousy graphic card, Im still using 3ds4 because it's faster.
Another 3d kind of program im starting to get interesting in is a kind of landscapecreater like Bryce, Vue E'Sprite, World Constrution Kit. It's a program that can creat a random landscape with fog and sky and other elements that makes it realitc. It looks so cool to make a sea with mountans in the distance and the sun half behind the mountans. And it only takes about 5 minutes to make it!
Some of the major problems I had with 3d was:
So what do I do? Well, to find out if it's worth to get started with, one thing you can do is to find places like this, gallerys with images made in that program you are interested in, just to get an idear about what kind of images you can make. Then get a demo of the programs and then some tutorials and try it out. Unfortunally it's not all programs there is a demo of, I could mention World Constrution Kit as a example and it costs 940$!! A lot of money for a program I don't even know if it's worth to invest in.

But Im just babbling on and on, let's get started
with the gallery. Just click on the tumbnails to see them fullsize. There
will be a little information about how I made the images in the bottom
of the screen when you have choosen a image.
Have fun and please, PLEASE send me a e-mail at [email protected] or [email protected] about what you think of my work or maybe if you want to share some idears. I need some response so I know what to change and what I need to be better at. (and don't say spelling, I KNOW!) :) Happy looking! |
