The Bards primary skill comes through that of playing magical songs. The magical effects of songs last as long as the Bard is able to play the song correctly. The main area of concentrating is their art form but do borrow skills from that of the Warrior. Most of the warrior skills are for the purpose primarily of self-defense. Bards represent the best combination of Spell-Casting and fighting in the game. The problem is that they can never really master the other making them a well balanced character. Their songs are effective in the regards that they often effect an entire adventuring party.
Primary Attributes: Dexterity for Rogue skills, Wisdom for spell casting and Charisma for influence.
Races: Human, Half Elf, Wood Elf
Specific Skills: Bards learn to play songs that have magical abilities as a contrast to the natural spell casting abilities of other magic users. Bards may purchase 4 types of instruments to enhance their musical effectiveness : Percussion (Level 5), String (Level 8), Wind (Level 14) and Brass (Level 11). The rogue skills that Bards learn will contain Safe Fall (Level 24), Disarm Traps (Level 30) and Pick Locks (Level 40). Ranger skills include Dodge (Level 10), Forage (Level 12), Hide (Level 25), Sneak (Level 17) and Track (Level 35).
