Vegeta is a Saiyan Prince who comes to Earth with partner Nappa. He seeks the Earth Dragon Balls to wish for eternal life. Vegeta later becomes allied with Gokuu and the rest of the gang.

Gokuu was origanally a Saiyan, and was sent to Earth to get it ready for an invasion of the Saiyans. He had an unfotunate accident, for the Saiyans, and lost his memory of his mission. Later, Radditz, Gokuu's evil big bro, came to Earth to inspect Gokuu and his mission. Radditz is very unpleased with Gokuu, and they battle. Piccolo Jr. and Gokuu defeat Radditz, but that is only the beggining of his problems..

Gohan is Goku's son. He is also a saiyan and is very powerful, though his power changes with his emotions.

Nappa is a from the planet Vegita, and is also a saiyan. He comes to Earth with Vegeta, but doesnt stay long. He beats up Piccolo and sends him, along with some others, to another deminsion. When Goku gets there, he gets back at him, beats the piss out of him, and when Vegeta sees what a failure he is, he sends him to another deminsion. And thats the last we heard of poor 'ol Nappa.

To tell you the truth, i dont know a whole lot about trunks, but ill tell you what i do know. His parents are Vegeta, so he has to be cool :), and Bulma. His best friend is goten, who he later performs fusion with to become Gotenks. He comes back in tim( as future trunks) to give Goku a cure for his heart disease that he develops from his teleportation technique. Oh yeah, and he carries a sword only he can use.

Piccolo, i think is one of the best characters. He's from the planet Namek, so that means hes a green dude. He trained Gohan to fight in the very begining of the series. Piccolo was always Gokus arche enimy until they joined forces to fight Raditz.
