Lets meet the characters!
 

Luke Skywalker Luke Skywalker grew up on Tatooine raised by Uncle Owen Lars and Aunt Beru. Little did he know but he was the son of Anikin and strong in the Force. Luke is taught to feel the Force by Obi-wan Kenobi. He later becomes a powerful Jedi Knight and then Master. His sister is Princess Leia.

 

Han Solo Han is a Corellian rogue who pilots the Millennium Falcon. He owes Jabba the Hutt a large sum of credits for having to dump a load of spice, on that same run he broke the record for making the Kessel run the fastest. In ESB (Empire Strikes Back) Han is trapped in carbonite by Darth Vader and Send to Jabba. In RotJ (Return of the Jedi) Luke and Leia free him. Han loves Leia and will eventually marry her. Han is fast on the draw and dislikes odds and droids.

 

Princess Leia Organa Leia is the adopted daughter of Bail Organa, the Viceroy of Alderaan. She heads the Rebel alliance, and has vital information on the dreaded super weapon the Death Star. She, like her brother Luke, is strong in the Force. She will become the President of the new republic. With Han she will have three children, the twins Jacen and Jaina and Little Anikin, after her father Anikin Skywalker. All three children are strong in the Force.

 

Chewbacca (Chewie) Chewie is a Wookie; Han saved him from an Imperial slave ship. So now Chewie owes him a life debt. Chewie is Han copilot on the Millennium Falcon. Chewbacca can not speck common by Han can understand Wookie so this unlikely pair get along just fine.

 

R2D2 and C3PO Atroo the Astromech droid and C3PO the Human Cyborg-relations droid make a great pair of comic relief. C3PO was built by Anikin Skywalker, and R2 has been in service of someone close to the center of the plot since the begining. First Queen Amidala and then Anikin and eventually he will belong to Luke. Something notable is that R2D2 and C3PO will never have their memory wiped.

Lord Darth Vader/Anikin Skywalker The Dark Lord of Sith is really Anikin Skywalker. In a duel with Obi-wan he fell into a pit of molten metal and when he was pulled out he was consumed by the Dark Side hence Darth Vader was born. He becomes the right hand of the Emperor, from where he strike terror in to the souls of those unfortunate enough to displease him. Darth Vader is brought back to the light side in the final battle of Luke and the Emperor, when he saves his son.

 

(Old Ben) Obi-wan Kenobi Obi-wan was the apprentice of Qui-gon Jinn. After he becomes a Jedi knight he takes Anikin Skywalker under tutelage however Anikin falls to the Dark Side. Many years later after hiding on Tatooine Luke comes to him and he shows Luke the Force. In ANH (A New Hope) he becomes one with the Force in a duel with his former apprentice Darth Vader.

 

Yoda Yoda is a great Jedi Master. Yoda was the master of the Jedi Council. Later during the Banishment of the Jedi he lived on Dagobah. Don't be fooled by his small size, because small matters not! Yoda becomes one with the force after living more than 900 years, This and Luke's rush to help Leia and Han causes Luke's Jedi training to be incomplete.

 

Emperor Palpatine Before he became the Emperor he was the Senator Representing Naboo. He was elected president through Favors and other legal channels, So even though he was a student of the Dark Side he won the control of the Old Republic with out the help of the Force. I suspect that he is also Darth Sidious but that could be jumping to conclusions. Between the Emperor and Darth Vader the Jedi were all but destroy.
