Raksasa: A nighttime Indian demon which attacks children and brides. They are able to shapeshift into animals or acquaintances.

Rakshasas: (Rakshasas, m. Rakshasis, f.) Demi-gods who do not interact directly with the populace, but their exploits are told as legends. Like vampires, they walked the night, had fangs, drank blood and preferred to attack infants and pregnant women.

Ramanga: Madagascarian. A living Vampire who is servant to the tribal elders. The Ramanga would consume the nail clippings and spilled blood of the noble members of the tribe.

Redcaps: This is a Scottish malignant spirit who haunted abandoned castles and other places where violence had occurred. If one slept in a spot haunted by the redcap, it would attempt to dip its cap in human blood. It could easily be driven off with a word from the Bible or a cross.
