Mammoth Mountain

Mammoth Mountain is located in the Sierra Navada's here in Southern California. Mammoth is one of the lost popular ski resorts here, and is mainly used for just that...skiing. But, personaly, I love to go to Mammoth when the snow isn't on the ground and the crowds aren't so large. My favorite time is summer up there. There's fishing, hiking, backpacking, etc...and it's so peaceful and calming in the forests. My parents have had a place up there since I've been little, so Mammoth is really my home away from home. Here are a couple of pictures taken from there. If you go up to Mammoth (you can access it from the highway 395), be sure to go up a ways further and visit Bodie =) It's only about 45 minutes outside of Mammoth. They're both beautiful and very enjoyable.
