This is a companion piece to "Got To Get You Into My Life" from Scully's POV. The Beatles Files: "All My Loving" by Christina Shuy cshuy@netcom.com Dana Scully was tired and dozing in the taxi she was taking. The radio was tuned to an oldies station and as she was about to doze off, a song caught her attention and she smiled. "Close your eyes and I'll kiss you, Tomorrow I'll miss you; Remember I'll always be true. And then while I'm away, I'll write home ev'ry day, And I'll send all my loving to you." Scully remembered when Mulder had been away on business alone and wrote to her practically daily. Now that it was her turn to be away, she'd done the exact same thing. "All my loving I will send to you All my loving, darling I'll be true." Their last words to each other, both face to face, and over the phone and email, were 'I Love You'. Since they'd mutually declared they'd fallen deeply in love with one another, those words had meant more and more. "I'll pretend That I'm kissing the lips I am missing And hope that my dreams will come true. And then while I'm away, I'll write home ev'ry day, And I'll send all my loving to you." The previous night had seen an intensely erotic dream, though Dana had to admit to herself that the main thing she missed about Mulder was being in his arms. "All my loving I will send to you. All my loving, darling I'll be true." "Miss? We're here." The cab-driver announced to her and she nodded, handing him the payment for the trip. After getting out of the car and getting checked in, she found herself at the gate with a few minutes to spare. Augusta, Maine, was too far from Mulder when he was in Washington, DC. SHe pulled out her calling card and dialled his home phone number. Nothing. Then, she tried his celphone. "Mulder." His voice answered, though he sounded lonely and tired. 'I can fix *that*!' she grinned. "Hiya! It's me. You doing okay over there?" she said. "Scully! Miss you! Lots!" His voice brightened so much, she was almost blinded. She could hear the faint strains of music in the background, more specificially the Beatles' "Got to Get You Into My Life". "Are you on another stakeout?" she asked, concerned. "Nope. Just sitting and thinking and stargazing. No looking for UFOs tonight either... not without you here." There was a gentle smile that lit Scully's face. "Oh, Mulder..." "Scully... I love you... Hurry home, please?" "I love you, too, Mulder. As for home... that's why I called. I'm in the airport at Augusta now. I'm going to need you to pick me up in about an hour. Can you do that?" "Sure. Scully, can we have dinner tomorrow night at my place?" "That sounds wonderful. Are you going to cook?" "Yup." "Then I'll be there." "Nonstop service to Dulles International now boarding." came the muffled announcement. "My flight's boarding now, Mulder. I'll see you in an hour at Dulles, okay?" "You bet!" "I love you." "I love you, too. See you in an hour." She hung up the phone and headed for the gate. She was going home to the person who mattered most, and she was ecstatic. -the end.- "The Truth is Out There.
