They are used without permission but no copyright infringement is meant. I just wanted to borrow the characters for a while. "All Together Now" is property of The Beatles and the late John Lennon and SIR Paul McCartney. I got the idea for this story from another fanfic I read... and, like "Slow News Day", Mulder and Scully had their own ideas! Comments and other things are much apprieciated and can be sent to cshuy@netcom.com. I like email, so please reply! I'll do what I can about responding to any replies. Rating: PG-13 (for the ending...) Category: MSR, V Summary: Mulder gets flowers... and a surprise Spoilers: none... Note: This story takes place *before* "In My Life" and the direct sequels. The Beatles Files: "All Together Now" by Christina Shuy cshuy@netcom.com Mulder awoke after a peaceful night sleep to find a flower on his coffee table. It was a soft pink coloured rose. There was a note with it. "One, two, three, four Can I have a little more? five, six, seven eight nine ten I love you." The print on the card was typical computer font... meaning he couldn't tell who had sent it. He walked into his bathroom to brush his teeth. The garlicky taste from the Italian food he had eaten last night - with Scully! his mind prompted and he smiled inwardly - was bothering him. However, when he got to his bathroom, he found a bunch of flowers, white carnations this time, sitting in the sink. There were about fifteen of them, bundled into three of five each. A note was attached to each bundle. "A, B, C, D Can I bring my friend to tea? E, F, G H I J I love you." Said the first. "Sail the ship, Jump the tree Skip the rope, Look at me" Said the second. "All together now...." Mulder, check your bedroom... Said the third. Each was written in a slightly different font, but it was still computer printed. That last line got his curiousity piqued and he walked over to his bedroom. The CD player was playing softly, set on one track. The Beatles "All Together Now", which were also, he realised, the verses that were written on the strange notes with the flowers he was finding all over his apartment. But there was no one in the room. Instead, a bundle of violets sat on his pillow. Curious, he walked over and picked them up, noticing yet another note on them. "Black, white, green, red Can I take my friend to bed? Pink, brown, yellow orange blue I love you All together now.... Sail the ship, Jump the tree Skip the rope, Look at me All together now...." Look behind you, Mulder... The door squeeked quietly as it closed and Mulder whirled around to see who was behind him. Dana Katherine Scully. She stood there dressed in a soft purple silk robe over something white... She smiled lovingly at him, walking into the light from the shadows of the door. "Scully? What are you doing?" "What does it look like I'm doing, Mulder?" She walked silently to him and before he could answer, she had met his mouth with her own. At the same time, she pressed her body against his, and he moaned, his hands rubbing her back and sides. Her hands were not idle either, moving down his back to his buttocks, squeezing them and pushing him more against her. "Are you sure about this, Dana?" He was breathless after the kiss. "Why don't you keep going, Fox, and I'll let you know." She smiled a slow, seductive smile. "It's a weekday... I thought we had agreed... no spending weekdays together... After all, no point getting anyone at the office suspicious of what is going on." Mulder was having some difficulty keeping his concentration centred on the fact that he didn't want to place both of their reputations in danger. His body, however, was having other ideas. Dana Scully was one tempting subject. "Skinner called this morning. We've both been placed on forced-leave. Overdue vacation time and all that." "Oh..." And then neither of them could speak anymore... -the end... *grin*- After all, we have to leave them their privacy... Not to mention the fact that I don't have the guts to write an NC-17.
