Rating: G (though there is a bit of kissing), MSR, no spoilers Summary: A serenade by Sir Paul McCartney while on honeymoon. The Beatles Files: "Here, There And Everywhere" by Christina Shuy cshuy@netcom.com "Come on, Scully... these were a gift from Desmond and Molly. I think the trip to London was Desmond's idea, and the Paul McCartney concert was Molly's." Mulder grinned at his wife. "Uh-oh, Mulder, look out... here comes trouble." Scully had been scanning the crowds and saw Phoebe Green headed right for them. "That's ok, Dana... watch this." Without another word, Mulder swept her into his arms and kissed her, lovingly. For a time, even in the crowd of people getting to the concert at Wembley, they shut everyone else out. Suddenly, they heard someone clearing their thoat. Looking to see who it was, they saw Victoria Jensen smiling at both of them. Phoebe was nowhere to be seen. "Mulder, Dana, I want to congratulate you on your marriage. It's about time you two got your act together." she smiled. Then, she handed them an envelope. "Don't open this until after the concert. Enjoy it." Victoria vanished into the crowd before either of them could say anything. "Well, we should do what she says, I think." Mulder beamed at Dana. "Oh, most definitely." She smiled in return. They went to find their seats, which turned out to be just about front row. Their friends had heard about their *minor* Beatles facination... apparently. "And here is a song dedication from my friend Victoria Jensen to her friends Fox Mulder and Dana Scully who are visiting from America while on honeymoon." Paul McCartney announced, to the shock and delighted surprise of Mulder and Scully. "It was the favourite of all that I'd written with John Lennon. This song is for you. Congratulations on the marriage." "To lead a better life I need my home to be here... Here, making each day of the year Changing my life with the wave of her hand Nobody can deny that there's something there" Mulder took Dana's hand and she leaned against him as he wrapped his arm around her. Their hands were clasped together, fingers intertwined. "There, running my hands through her hair Both of us thinking how good it can be Someone is speaking but she doesn't know he's there I want her everywhere and if she's beside me I know I need never care But to love her is to need her everywhere Knowing that love is to share" 'Share... I've always shared my life with him. Even when I hadn't yet realised that I loved him.' Dana's thought made her smile. What she would have not been surprised to learn, though, was that her newlywed husband was thinking almost the exact same thing about her. She looked up at him and saw that he was looking at her. 'I Love you, Dana', his eyes told her. 'I love you too, Mulder.' her eyes replied. "Each one believing that love never dies Watching her eyes and hoping I'm always there I want her everywhere and if she's beside me I know I need never care But to love her is to need her everywhere Knowing that love is to share Each one believing that love never dies Watching her eyes and hoping I'm always there To be there and everywhere Here, there and everywhere" By the time the song ended, they were kissing passionately, and Sir Paul had the graciousness to smile at them before going over to kiss his wife, Lady Linda. Victoria Jensen sat five rows behind them, also attending the concert. She was a great fan of Paul McCartney and a friend of his as well. She smiled, watching her newlywed friends as, once again, they got lost in each other. She had met Desmond and Molly Jones and laughed as they related exactly what a certain song also meant to them. 'Be happy, both of you...' she smiled. -The End (for now) -
