BORLEY RECTORY
Borley Rectory was built in 1863 by Rev. Henry Bull, it was destroyed by fire in 1939. Their has been many phenomena reports in the area before and after the fire. There is even a picture of a floating brick taken in 1944 by a photographer.
Reverend Lionel Foyster and his wife, Marianne, moved into Borley Rectory in 1930. They left about five years later. During their stay, many explained and unexplained events took place. It has included upstairs landing Cold spot, on the main stairs any objects thrown, footsteps, phantom touches Marianne, study door locked from inside,
hand reaches out to slap Marianne, wall writing on hall outside,
Marianne thrown out of bed, figures floats, kitchen Bottles appear and are smashed, and bells ring.
Years later, Marianne discussed how many of those events could be explained naturally.
