true account
This firehouse was haunted for exactly 20 years.Frank Lavy was washing windows.April 18, 1924, he stopped with his hand on the glass, and told a fellow fire fighter, he knew he was going to die that day. At that moment, the alarm sounded. They hopped in the truck, headed for a fire in downtown Chicago. During the blaze a wall collapsed, killing eight firemen. Levy was one of them. Later they noticed a strange stain on the window. It was the imprint of Frank's hand from when he cleaned the glass that fateful day. Try as they might they could not erase the hand print. For twenty years the stain served as a stark remembrance of the dangerous life of a dedicated fireman.
Then on April 18, 1944, a newsboy threw a paper through the glass, and smashed the hand print to pieces.
