The Rosewar Chronicle

The Fiction

The Rosewar Chronicle first began as a collection of short stories, ideas, and a failed potential novel. All of them described a group of thirteen individuals, throughout several incarnations and their attempts to master their destinies and the magical forces to which they are heir. Moonfyre's Bane dealt with the World of Five Realms, and the coming of an Avatar of an Ancient Goddess to help restore balance to that fated land. The failed novel Dark Butterfly attempted to explain what happened after the blessed Alarion race fled the Five Realms, and how their actions result in The Thirteen Children called the Shi'an. The Coming of the Sidhe was originally a serial in a school literary magazine, and details the culmination of the search of the Shi'an for their heritage and their combat and eventual victory over their adversaries. Scattered between are notions and dreams, worlds and mysteries written on scraps and napkins at oilslick diners at 3am. Together they comprise the core of the Rosewar, and introduced the Shi'an, their great Adversaries, the mysterious organization known as the Praetus-Magi, and that enigmatic spectre around which the conflict rages, the Rose herself.
