HART

We Want Napster!!!

Hart is a company that informs people of the online music issues.  We strongly feel that this new online revolution is the future and it must be protected.  We provide a place for online surfers to voice their opinion and we will fight for you.  Basically, we have the power to voice your opinions where they will be heard.  We make it possible for you to find your music and we make it incredibly hard for the music industry to infringe on this new MP3 freedom.

"We should think of (Napster) as a new kind of radio--a promotional tool that can help artists who don't have the opportunity to get their music played on mainstream radio or on MTV..." Chuck D

NOT INTO THE SWING YET!
If you have no idea what MP3, Napster, or online music swapping is, then have no fear.  About a year ago, programmers developed a way to convert a normal compact (CD) disc song (WAV) into a compact file called an MP3.  Basically, an MP3 is a compressed CD song.  The technological advancement is: an MP3 is ten times smaller than a regular CD song while it still has the same digital sound quality.  Napster is a program that allows you to find and collect MP3's.  Napster is an online music swapping program.  The best part to Napster is that it's FREE.  Interested, click here to download Napster.

WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL?
Napster allows you to download their favorite music onto their computer and listen to it for free.  People use to be able to listen to their music by listening to it on the radio or buying the CD.  Now, with the help of Napster and other programs like it,  you can listen to your music for free.  The music industry and some artists have a HUGE problem with this concept.  They feel, they are losing money because people are not buying the CD.  They are simply listening to the music on their computer.  This is not completely true.  Napster is advertising music.  Napster provides a way for users to see if they like the music they are potentially going to purchase.
