My thoughts on the Unsolved
Mysteries broadcast with Laurie Cabot.
On Unsolved Mysteries they have a segment
where self proclaimed wiccan witch Laurie
Cabot goes into an altered state and uses
psychic powers to help find a murder and a missing
dead woman.
This aggravates me. They open the segment
with Laurie Cabot at a Wiccan circle and they
talk about the salem witch trials and how
now she is free to practice her craft. But then they
go into how she uses psychic abilities to
assist the police.
Witchcraft and Psychic abilities are not
the same thing. But they are grouped together on
this program.
Another thing that annoys me, not cause of
the show, but they have shots of Cabot walking
around in black cloak, black face make-up
and a tattoo on her face, with wild hair.
This is one of the reasons the Craft/Wicca/any
Earth Religion is not taken seriously, you
have people speaking for it and they show
up dressed like the Wicked Witch
of the West
from Wizard of Oz!
Then at the end of the segment, which is
suppose to be about the missing people, they go on
to say that Cabot would have been hanged
for her beliefs and practices if it was 300 years
ago.
The whole time I was watching this, im staring
at this tattoo on her face, her wild hair, which
did not look good, and black eye shadow up
to her eyebrows. Would you take her seriously?
Keep in mind she's a High Priestess.
This is basically me ranting and rambling
cause I am annoyed, have been for some time
about this. Everyone claims her to
be a "great witch" and so on, she's even Massachusetts
state witch, yes we have a state witch! But
their are many other High Priestess/Priests that
do not go out of their way to call negative
attention to themselves.
That's my thoughts,
