The Firsts Sights Reported
The firsts killings of the notorious Chupacabras
appeared in the newspapers at the end of September of 1995,
where they reported mutilated animals in remote locations of
Can�vanas, Guaynabo, San Lorenzo and Morovis.
The newspaper El Vocero reported in the September 29 of 1995
a strange attack, and they called the creature the Blood sucker.
In this occasion, the beast killed, two rabits, two qualis and almost
a dozens of chickens in the farm of don F�lix Rivera
Rodr�guez, at sector Las Torres in the Guaynabo
county. Less than a week later, a creature similar, to a hairy bear, was
observed in the Can�vanas county, said the report.
Close Encounter With The Chupacabras
Many people say that the sightings are old news, like Mr. Jorge Mart�n,
director of a center of investigation and information of UFO activity.
In his Evidencia OVNI (UFO evidence) magazine, Mart�n
reproduce the testimony of Mr. Misael Negr�n, who said that he
watched the creature for about ten minutes from his balcony. The young man
said that the creature was looking around with interest until he detected
the presence of Misael about 30 feets away, when he suddenly stand up.
Misael got in his home and watch the creature from the security of a window
disappear.
The Next Day
The next day, the brother of Misael, �ngel David, saw the creature
near a mutilated goat, and was chased by the creature until his house, said
Mart�n. When the goat was examined, it show the typical strike of the
Chupacabras: one bite of two punctures in the animal's neck,
followed by multiples punctures in form of half moon, where they suspect
that disappeared the heart, liver, lips, ears and eyes, said Mart�.
After that moment, the residents of the Campo Rico comunity adopted the
nickname Chupacabras (Goatsucker) for the bloody creature, extending
his fame throughout the island.
