I'm posting this for my friend 'cause she's too much of a coward to do it

There is one explicit sex scene but I will post this separately as part 2b/5
so if you are under age for where ever you are or you have delicate
sensibilities then I recommend that you miss it out, you won't miss anything
that is important to the story.

I've included a brief synopsis of the concept of immortality according to
Highlander below the disclaimer for those of you not familiar with the films
of TV show.

My best friend has been trying to persuade me to post this for a while. In a
giddy fit of euphoric hysteria I actually agreed with her. Hope you like it.
I apologise if I lose people with some of the Highlander references, but
when you write about something you're passionate about, then you tend to
forget that other people may not watch the programme.

This is the first story of an arc of X-Men/Highlander crossovers. I don't
know how many others there will be. I know that there are unanswered
questions in this, but they will be answered in following stories (if I get
around to writing them!). Also, there are no actual characters from
Highlander in this, although they will be in later stories.

Immortality according to Highlander

There are many living among us, they look like us, they act like us.  They
live, breath, fall in love, just like us.  But they do not grow old and they
do not die.  The only way to kill them is to remove their head, and in the
end, There can be Only One.

When immortals fight, usually with swords or other bladed weapons, the
winner takes the others head and receives his (or her) 'Quickening'.  When
there is only one immortal left he will receive 'The Prize'.  No one knows
what the Prize will be but some think that it will be enough power to rule
this world, forever.
