Sunday, 8:26 PM

Angelo looked in the mirror as he finished pulling on his uniform. Both he and Jono had been surprised to find that
Kavik was the total opposite of what they had thought. She was funny and easy to get on with. But the best part was, she
understood enough about the human body to know it didn't function properly at disgusting times of the morning, and
scheduled the first of the training sessions for 9 o'clock. Angelo knew he still had about 30 minutes before he had to be in the
Biosphere, but he decided to go and see if anyone was there yet.

Angelo made his way to the Biosphere. He stopped when he saw the rest of Generation X watching something through the
transparent wall. As he got closer, he could hear music emanating from the Biosphere. "What's-"

"Ssh!" A chorus of voices answered.

Angelo walked over to stand beside Jono to watch what everyone else was. Inside the Biosphere Kavik was running
through a series of moves, perfectly in time with the music. Her body flowed through a set of fluid motions, until the music took
on a harsher beat. Angelo could just make out the words.

And if you think that I've been losing my way,
That's because I'm slightly blinded.
And if you think that I don't make too much sense,
That's because I'm broken minded.

The music went back to a soother beat, and Kavik's movements adjusted accordingly. Kavik appeared to notice
someone in the Biosphere with her and her movements became more sensual.

"Whoa!"

Angelo wasn't sure which of the girls had made the noise, he was too busy watching as Gambit walked into the scene. Kavik
smiled and held out a hand. Gambit took hold of her hand and pulled her towards him, their bodies molding themselves
together. The two X-Men moved together in time with the music.

"They're practically havin' sex," spluttered Paige.

"From the looks on their faces, chica, I don't think you're far off," Angelo muttered, unable to break his eyes away from the
scene. He felt like a voyeur as he watched Gambit turn Kavik so that her back was against his chest and lower the two of
them to their knees, Kavik's body between Gambit's legs. They stayed on the ground, swaying to the music, then brought
themselves back up, without ever breaking body contact. Part of Angelo's subconscious was highly impressed by the fact that
Gambit managed to pull off the move considering his trousers were so tight they looked like they were painted on.

The song trailed off and Gambit leant over and whispered somethign to Kavik. None of the people outside the Biosphere
heard what he said, but they could see Kavik laugh in reponse. Kavik's head turned and she noticed the group standing
watching. Being waved into the Biosphere, Angelo realised the lesson was about to begin.

Sunday, 8:37 PM

Kavik surveyed the group in front of her. Sean had said that he had taught them some hand to hand combat techniques, but
he wanted them to learn more. "Okay," she said, getting their attention, "there are four levels to any fight: incapacitate;
disable; maim and kill."

Sunday, 11:43 PM

Jubilee sighed as she stepped into the hot shower. Her body felt like it had been put through a meat grinder for the last three
hours. However, she now knew how to take out a larger opponent with only six moves. she thought, if I ever get my body to co-operate again. I *can't* believe Angie stayed behind to practice some more.>

Sunday, 11:44 PM

Angelo punched out at his opponent only to have her spin out of his reach.

"Follow it though," she said.

Kicking out, he caught her in the thigh.

"Good," she commended, recovering immediately. Kavik thought, kick caught me in the stomach.> All the students thought that she had a healing factor, it was the easiest way to explain why
she healed from injuries so quickly. It also explained why she was immune to the Legacy Virus. Kavik had finally run out of
luck in evading the physical Hank insisted on giving her just over a week ago. He had put her through a full physical and
declared her perfectly healthy.

Hank had taken blood to add her DNA and blood type to the computer. Kavik hadn't resisted. An Immortal friend of hers
was a doctor and he had once done a complete blood works on a dozen Immortals. What he had discovered what there was
no difference between the blood of an Immortal and anyone else. But more importantly, there was nothing in their blood to
indicate that they were anything different from the rest of society. She remembered looking at Hank and saying, 'Hank,
before we start this, you should know that I have a kind of healing factor.' Hank had grinned and replied, 'Charles
mentioned it, I'm hoping it may help us in a cure to the Legacy Virus as I'm getting nowhere with Logan's.' Kavik knew having
her blood wouldn't make any difference. As with any virus that invaded her body, antibodies were produced to destroy it, and
when the virus was eliminated the antibodies broke down, leaving no trace of themselves or the original virus.

The sound of Angelo's arm whistling past her head brought

Kavik sharply back to the present, as she concentrated on her opponent.

Sunday, 6:32 PM

The people at the Massachusetts Academy sat lounging around watching the TV.

"There is, like, *nothing* on the box," moaned Jubilee.

"Come on, then." Kavik jumped up and grabbed the keys to one of the cars. After counting everyone in the room, she put
the keys back down and picked up another set. Everett looked at her.

"Well, there's gotta be somewhere open, right?"

"Ah don't know if ya noticed, but half of us are unda age," Paige pointed out.

"And I'll no be havin' them drinkin'," Sean added.

Kavik grinned. "Like being underage has ever stopped anyone before." She headed to the door. "Well?" She said,
when she realised nobody was following. "Look, I'm sure we can find a place that serves non-alcohic drinks and let's in kids.
Sorry," she said at the look Jubilee gave her, "*young adults.*"

Sean smiled. "There is a place in town that's like a family pub."

Kavik grimaced. "Does that mean there'll be three year olds running all over the place? Never mind, does it have a pool
table?"

"Aye," answered Sean.

"Then what are we waiting for?"

"I'll pass, if you don't mind," Emma said coolly. **Sean,** she telepathically contacted the Irishman.

**What?**

**Just... be careful.**

**We will, Em.** "Are ye sure ye don't want to come wi' us, Emma."

Emma smiled. "I'm sure."

"We'll see ye later, then."

Sunday, 8:24 PM

"Come on, Jono, you can do it," encouraged Everett. Jono and Kavik were locked in battle over the pool table.
The tournament was a best out of three, with Kavik winning the first game, and Jono the second. The only ball left of the last
game was the 8 ball. Jono lined up his shot, and calmly sank the ball in the side pocket.

"I guess this round's on me then," Kavik laughed, laying her cue across the table. She walked to the bar and ordered beer
for her, Remy, Jono and Angelo and coke for the rest of them, including Sean as he was the designated driver. "Hey, Jono,
you up for another game," she said, after she had deposited the drinks on the tables.

**Only if you show me that shot you won the second game with.**

"Yeah, course, come on."

Monday, 00:35 AM

Sean was driving everyone back to the Academy when suddenly he had to swerve to avoid a man standing in the road.
"What the hell," he swore as the van skidded off the road. "Is everyone okay," he asked, when he had stopped the van.

"Blockbuster," murmured Remy.

"What?"

"Dat was Blockbuster, he's one o' de Marauders, which means - shit, Sinister!"

Everyone climbed out of the van, but there was no sign of Blockbuster.

Monet flew a few feet in the air and looked around. "I can't see anyone," she said when she landed.

Kavik ignored her, looking around with an intent look on her face. **Jono, can you hear me?**

**Yeah.**

**Can you link everyone together?**

**Yes. Why?**

**Just do it.**

**It's done.**

**What've you seen, chere?**

**The air molecules in front of us are displaced. There's something there, but it's invisible,** Kavik explained.

**How far in front?** Angelo asked.

**About 15 feet.** Kavik took a deep breath. **When?**

Sean grinned. **Now!**

Kavik, Monet and Sean all took to the sky as the rest of the group scattered indiscriminately. Triggering his mutants abilities,
Sean let loose a sonic scream in the direction Kavik had indicated. The air in front of them warped and the outline of
several people could be seen. Banshee increased the frequency of his scream, and within seconds nine people could be clearly
seen.

Sabretooth growled. The personal cloaking fields Sinister had given them hadn't held up against Banshee's sonic scream. He
didn't know why he had agreed to work for Sinister again. Actually, that was lie - he needed to cut loose and Sinister
never minded if Sabretooth 'damaged' those he was sent to retrieve every so often. And after being held back by that damn
inhibitor collar he'd had to wear when he was with X-Factor, he felt the need to flex his claws. Only, Sinister had specifically
said that nobody was to be killed or damaged permanently. All he wanted was the Cajun and the frail who'd just joined the X-
Men. Sabretooth watched as Scalphunter took a step forward.

"We just want Gambit and MacLeod. Don't interfere and don't get hurt."

Kavik landed next to Gambit and looked at him. **I don't think the students should be involved in this.**

**Are you kidding?!** Everett exclaimed. **You can't just go with them!**

**I wasn't planning on doing so.**

Remy took up Kavik's argument. **Dese are de Marauders. Dey don' play fair, an' dey play f'r keeps.**

**We won't walk away,** Jono said.

**Damn right. If these idiots want to play, then let's do it,** added Angelo.

A faint smile crossed Kavik's lips before she turned back to face Scalphunter. "You want us, come and get us."

"If that's the way you wanna play it." Scalphunter smiled.

"Vertigo."

Remy gasped as the entire world turned upside down. Dropping to his knees, he was aware of the others staggering
and falling to the ground. Paige had her arms wrapped around her head and he could hear her moaning. Remy noticed a rock
lying only a few inches from him. He reached out for it, but the slightest movement caused waves of nausea. Something was
wrong. Vertigo's powers had never been this debilitating. Jubilee and Everett were already unconscious, with the others
faring little better. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see the Marauders heading towards them. Bracing himself, he lunged
for the rock, almost losing consciousness as the dizziness washed over him. Charging the rock, he threw it at Vertigo, not
knowing if it hit it's target before the blackness descended on him.

Kavik groaned and staggered to her feet, her Immortal recuperative powers fighting the nausea.

"Well, whadda ya know, one of them's still up," said Arclight. A feral grin split Sabretooth's face. "Let me take care of this."
Before Sinister had sent him and the Marauders out, he had given Sabretooth very specific instructions regarding Kavik
MacLeod. Before she had a chance to fight off the nausea induced by Vertigo's attack, Victor Creed calmly walked up to
her, extended his claws, and gutted her, dropping her body on the ground. Licking the blood off his fingers, Sabretooth smiled.

"Now, let's get these two back ta Sinister," he pointed to the unconscious Gambit and the now dead MacLeod.
Riptide and Prism lifted Gambit into the back of the van.

"I don't even know why we were here, it wasn't as if we did anything," moaned Prism.

"We were here in case the enhancements to Vertigo's powers didn't work, Prism. You know that as well as the rest of us,"
replied Riptide, as they dropped Gambit.

"I don't know what ya complainin' about. We got what we came for. Now let's get outta here." Sabretooth slung Kavik's
body over his shoulder and walked over to the van.

"She's very attractive," leered Harpoon.

"And she's Sinister's," pointed out Scrambler, as he watched Sabretooth drop the body next to Gambit. "Now let's go."

Monday, 00:57 AM

Emma Frost knelt next to the still form of Sean Cassidy and gently probed him. "Sean," she said softly, "it's Emma."
Sean groaned and opened his eyes. "Em? Wha' happened?"

He asked groggily.

"I was hoping you could tell me that." Emma was aware of the students beginning to revive. "I got a mental call from Jono,
and when I got here you were all unconscious."

"It was the Marauders," Angelo staggered over to Emma and Sean. "They ambushed us."

Sean sat up slowly. "They wanted -" His voice trailed off as he looked around and saw that two people were missing. "Oh
bloody hell, Gambit and Kavik!"

Monday, 00:58 AM

Mr Sinister sat in front of two monitors, watching the people who had just been brought to him. One was unconscious and
one was dead. It was more of a statement than a question. His eyes fell on the young
man in one of the rooms. when you did.>

Monday, 1:26 AM

Scott was instantly awake the moment he heard Sean say the words 'Marauders' and 'Mr Sinister'. He cut the connection to
Massachusetts and turned to his wife. "Jean, call the rest of the X-men. We have a problem."
