Like Father, Like Daughter
By Raven Adams

Introduction

"Certainly Charles. As soon as I can, I will send over one of my best students... No, no, old friend. No trouble. Actually, we run things much on your X-Men's example. One of my kids would be glad to come over and talk to you about us. I'm just sorry I can't come, I'm the only teacher here right now, Nina took Timofee to Russia to visit her parents, so I can't leave these guys by themselves. Last time I did, one of them blew up the dishwasher." Laughter. "Oh, no, Charles, I'll send my best. Raven... that's right, my adopted daughter... Of course she won't mind, she see's you X-Men as idols. She'll be happy to come... Okay, I'll send her as soon as possible."

He hung up the phone and ran his fingers though his graying brown hair. Sighed, then walked out the door to find one of his charges. When he found her he told her her instructions and how things must be carried out.

"I want you to give them a little... demonstration. Understand?"

"Yeah, Dad. But-."

"No buts. This is a job like no other and I want you to do it. You've been here longer, and you're more trained, I won't risk anyone else. Do you know what you're going to do?" She nodded. "Good. So then get to it. Take Kurt with you for now. I don't know how well you'll do with the X-Men right off, you might need the back-up."

"Me? Please. I could take the X-Men with my eyes closed and one hand tied behind my back."
