Latin: The Star Trek Project

Kirk: Stardate: 79.07.24 A.D. (79 A.D., August 24th.) Roman fleet commander Pliny [the elder] ordered us into the Bay of Naples. Spock has informed me that there has been recent (earthquakes and such) activity in the area. Since we're here for repairs and supplies we thought we would investigate the matter.

[On Deck]

Spock: Captain, we should be repaired by the day's end. Is there anything else necesary to our voyage?

Kirk: Yes, Spock, send a few men out to see about starcharts and the latest maps. After that the crew is free to spend the afternoon in town. You're in charge of assigning the skeleton crew. Also I would like you to check on the activity of the mountain.

Spock: Yes, Captain.

Calliope: Sir, I am poeticaly awating your orders, and epicly, for tis' what my name means!

Kirk: Um...Calliope, would mind taking some notes on our little (mis)adventurers?

Calliope: Yes, Captain, for that is what I'm here for. To take down the epic notes of history.

Kirk: You're dismissed.
