Magius' Palm Reading Lessons

Lesson No. 1: The Four Hand Groups

Let's start our first lesson with palm reading with the four types of hands. Each of the four types of hands is named by one of the four elements (earth, air, fire and water).

The Earth Hand - The earth hand is characterised by it's squarish palm and short fingers (to find out if the fingers are short, measure the length of the middle finger, then compare it to the length of the palm. If it is three quarters, or smaller, the length of the palm, the fingers are short, otherwise the fingers are long)with blunt or squarish finger tips, as well as the very few lines in the palm (although these lines are usually very well defined).

Those who possess earth hands are hard-working and practical. They love making things and are especially gifted in their hands. They are equipped with massive amounts of common sense and never cease to think logically. They are also never afraid to speak their minds. Honest and truthful, you always know where you stand with them.

As friends earth handers are solid and realiable. If you are ever in need of their help, they will drop everything and be there for you in a flash. However, they will not take silly risks or chances - for they are very uncomfortable to break their rules.

These people are rarely moody or easily upset because they are so emotionally steady and level headed, so it takes alot to make them cry. If they do you can be sure something has affected them very, very deeply.

In addition to their brilliance in handy crafts they tend to excel at sports, so it is no surprise that earth-handed people very much enjoy being out in the fresh air and the great outdoors. They tend to be fidgety if cooped up inside for too long, so it's important for them to go out and play football, go for a bike ride or take the dog for a walk. Most people belonging to this group are exceptionally close to nature. They either have green fingers or a special rapport with animals.

                They like:
                    -working with their hands
                    -playing sports
                    -owning pets
                    -making models
                    -gardening
                    -sticking to routine
                    -cooking

                They should be encouraged to:
-have a good nights sleep - every night
-take plenty of exercise in the fresh air
                    -eat a healthy diet

                They should avoid:
                    -stress
-sitting around watching too much television
-thinking that a situation is hopeless

The Air Hand - The air hand is characterised by a squarish palm, short fingers - with fingertips usually rounded. The palm displays several lines which are clear and well defined.

These people are flexible and adaptable and love anything to do with communications. They possess lively, intelligent minds, take a keen interest in everything and everyone around them and never stop their incessant chatter! At school, those who excel in reading, writing and languages are more often thatn not people who have this type of hand.

Above all else these people are noted as being quick learners. All an air-handed individual needs to do is watch something being done once and they will pick it up in the flash of a second. There is one problem with this speedy mentality, however, and that is that they get bored extremely quickly, so people belonging to this group need lots of hobbies to keep their interests intact.

Gadgets and gizmos of all types fascinate these inventive people and it doesn't take much time for them to become computer whizes. If they could they would probably spend the whole evening on the phone, chatting away to their friends and acquaintances they tend to gather around them throughout their lives.

                They like:
                    -being witty
                    -reading
                    -working on the computer
                    -talking, talking, talking
                    -leaning new things
                    -hi-tech equipment and gizmos
                    -lots of variety

                They should be encouraged to:
                    -finish what they start
-learn a subject in depth instead of just little parts
                    -take their talents seriously

                They should avoid:
                    -scattering their energies
-trying to be in two places at once
-talking so much that they fail to hear what others are trying to tell them

The Fire Hand - Fire hands are noticeable by an oblong palm and short fingers, often with wide fingertipsh. The palms are usually characterised by many strong lines.

These people are very physically active and dynamic, for they are always on the go. They have energy to burn and need adventure and excitement to spice up their lives. That's why so many of them become excellent sportsmen and women, fearlessly plunging headlong from the highest diving board, or braving high speeds and great wakes on a wakeboard.

It is no surprise these people are never far from the center of the action - or for that matter from the spotlight. They're actors at heart with a love for the drama in life. If there's an end-of-year production, you can be sure these people will be the first to put their names down for the starring role. Many go into show business or in the world when they complete their educations.

Fire-handed individuals are just the type to cheer you up. With their happy-go-lucky, fun-loving characters they know just how to cheer you up. It is for this reason that fire-handed people are often the life of the party, spreading enthusiasm and inspiration wherever they go.

They make excelent leaders, not only for the fact that they love to be at the front of the action, but also because they understand people and know just how to motivate them. Wherever these individuals go, others seem to follow.

                They like:
                    -excitement and adventure
-entertaining people and making them laugh
                    -being on the go
                    -performing and showing off
                    -being in charge
                    -organizing
                    -pioneering or breaking records

                They should be encouraged to:
-calm their minds and bodies (with music, yoga, or a soothing hobby)
-channel their energies into regular exercise or sports
                    -learn how to pace themselves

                They should avoid:
-rushing, as this often leads to accidents
-leaving things until the last minute
-eating too much rish or spicy food, or taking stimulants of any kind

The Water Hand - The Water hand has long fingers and an oblong palm. The fingers have pointed or rounded tips, and the palm is coverd with a jumble of lines.

Water-handed people excel in the arts. Paintiny, sculpturing, sketching, pottery, crafts, clothesmaking and design are all favorite subjects. With their amazing patience and exceptional eye for detail, they can spend hours tracing tiny patterns or coloring in intricate or elaborate pictures.

Music is a special love of theirs and many will play in an orchestra. Although, literature, and especially, poetry are also very important to them. For they are poets and thinkers and dreamers - which gets them into trouble for day-dreaming and not paying enough attention in class.

They are, perhaps the most sensitive and gentle of the four groups (earth-hand, air-hand, fire-hand, water-hand). Often, they are shy, quiet, and can be upset by rough behavior or noisy outbursts. They suffer alot if others are unkind to them or call them names. In fact, they find it quite difficult to deal with agression of any any kind. They will retreat inside themsleves at the first sign of trouble, and this is what often gives them the reputation for sulking and moddiness.

These people are emotionally tender and allow their hearts to rule their minds. It is also this very closeness to their feelings that makes them caring and makes them able to understand when other people are troubled or in pain.

                They like:
-a world filled with beauty and kindness
-to care for people or animals in distress
                    -dancing, singing, and playing music
                    -drawing and designing
                    -reading or writing poetry
                    -beautiful clothes
                    -a peacefull environment

                They should be encouraged to:
                    -build up their confidence
                    -believe in their talents
                    -think logically.

                They should avoid:
                    -competitive situations
-getting carried away by their immagination
                    -becoming moody, melancholic, or depressed
