Magius' Palm Reading Lessons

Lesson No. 6: Fingers (Part 2)

During lesson one you learned about the four hand groups, and the second rule you learned was how to judge whether fingers were long or short. You probably remember short fingers are part of earth and fire, while long fingers are part of air and water.

Short Fingers: Those who have fingers much shorter than their palms are quick and impatient. They prefer not to hang around, and often take short cuts to get things done faster. They are quick learners, needing to be shown how to do something only once. However, they do not fuss over details, because details have little, if no, matter to them. They enojy taking a wider view of a situation, making plans, or organising people and events. Once short-fingered people have set the ball in motion, they prefer to leave others to cross the t's and dot the i's. This leaves them free to do what they do best - make new grand plans, and start the next project they have in mind. If you have long fingers, you probably get annoyed with short-fingered people because, in your oppinion, they pay no attention to detail.

Long Fingers: People with long fingers are patient and like to take their time and get things right. They have a sharp eye for detail and often spend hours at a time concentrating on intricate work such as drawing miniature pictures that can only be seen with a magnifying glass, or sewing tiny cross stitch embroideries that are about the size of a postage stamp. Those with long fingers have tidy minds, careful hands, and don't get fed up easily or give up on jobs that need lots of attention to get things exactly right, quite unlike those with short fingers. If you have short fingers you probably think that long-fingered people fiddle and fuss far too much over trivial things. As far as they're concerned, howver, they need to be precise and they want to make things perfect.
