Storyline and setting:

Background for Ottawa

Ottawa is the last Camarilla stronghold in eastern Canada. Remus moved there from Europe before

the area was really settled, with a group of Vikings. He oversaw most of the architecture of

the city, helping it to grow into a prosperous area, it is the jewel of his unlife, city building

being his art.

Remus owns most of the businesses in the city, but his main building, where he keeps his office

is above a popular nightclub called le Pature, and an adjoining goth club called le Bain de Sain.

He runs the city with a council of Primogen:

Renee his wife for the Gangrel (she is the key for keeping the treaty with the Garou)

Guenivere (yes, THE Guenivere from legend) for the Tremere (ps, she's a manipulative bitch)

Ragnar (used to be a viking) for the Brujah (he's in love with Guenivere)

Carlotta (a very kind woman) for the Nosferatu

Margot (your typical blonde supermodel looking, with a powerful ghoul) for the Ventrue

Alexander (an old patron of the arts) for the Toreador

Mies (calls himself Chef Boyardee, and lives in the asylum, actually is a doctor) for the Malkavian

Remus holds the mortal name of Julius Nacht, and only his friends know him by Remus. He is known

as a business man in Ottawa, partly owning Tessler and Nacht: mostly an environmental solutions

corporation (part of the reason they are able to have a treaty for the Garou)

The Kindred of Ottawa hold a fragile treaty with the Garou in the Ottawa Valley. Basically, the

Kindred are not allowed in the Valley, and the Garou do not come into the city. Of course, this

agreement is not necessarily kept (some Kindred sneak into the Valley, some Garou sneak into the

city, and in these cases, each are considered fair game in the respective "wrong place" though

that does not keep volitile situations from arising if someone is killed)

The prince holds a few small "rules" in his city, other than the six Traditions. These are:

1. No Kindred is to carry firearms within the boundaries of my domain without a legal permit

and permission from me.(and believe me, he has a reason for this rule).

2. You are not to endevour to make any contacts with the police or the media, for they are my

domain.

3. Vex not the lupines near the city, we have a treaty I would like to keep.

4. The city is my art, damage my city, you damage my art, and woe be to you. Be warned.

The 6 Traditions:

The first Tradition: The Masquerade:

Thou shalt not reveal thy true nature to those not of the blood.

Doing such shall renounce thy claims of blood.

The second Tradition: The Domain:

Thy domain is thine own concern. All others owe thee respect while in it.

None may challenge your word while in thy domain.

The third Tradition: The Progeny:

Thout shalt only sire another with the permission of thine elder.

If thou createst another without thine elder's leave, both thou and thy progeny shall be slain.

The fourth Tradition: The Accounting:

Those thou createst are thine own children. Until thy progeny shalt be released,

thou shalt command them in all things. Their sins are thine to endure.

The fifth Tradition: Hospitality:

Honor one another's domain. When thou comest to a foreign city,

thou shalt present thyself to the one who ruleth there. Without the word of acceptance,

thou art nothing.

The sixth Tradition: Destruction:

Thou art forbidden to destroy another of thy kind.

The right of destruction belongth only to thine elder.

Only the eldest among thee shall call the Blood Hunt.

Background to Hotel Montoya:

Mssyria acquired the 18th century hotel from a business dealing with a Toreador.

It is a high class hotel filled with extravagance,(lots of marble, Mssy likes marble) where only

the elite tend to stay (many being Kindred). There are 25 floors, the top two floors consisting

of opulant suites.

There is one main nightclub on the ground level floor called "Pariah Rara Avis", but the only access

is through a side door in the ally. It is an industrial goth nightclub that tends to attract the

"deviants" of both the mortal and Kindred worlds (since Le Pature usually has the "Cammies" hanging

out there)

There is also a high society type cigar lounge with a blues jazz atmosphere within the hotel

called "Requiem In Blue."

Mssyria's own office is upstairs in one of the suites , along with where she resides.
