Do not make the mistake of assuming that NOW is the midway point between a past and a future; a yesterday and a tomorrow. NOW is timeless.The PRESENT is not a stopping-off interim wherein we take stock of past failures and try to correct them nor a pause in which to consider the future, mulling over cherished or hopeful prospects. "The kingdom of NOW (heaven) is at hand", heaven is here-NOW. It is not past, nor "yet to come". What is time? It is only that period when NOW is not - when SPIRIT, the OMNIPRESENT, is absent! Is there such a moment? Time never permits a NOW. Should you doubt this, take a watch equipped with a second hand and attempt to plunge a pin into the present, the NOW. It cannot be done. That moment when the attempt is made, is gone and another moment has taken its place. Time is only that which is NOT. That which has gone, or that which is yet to come. It is never NOW.
