Roswell Page

Surely everybody, whether they are interested in UFOs or not, has heard of the Roswell Incident. On this page, I will examine the event, using information in the form of pictures and text. (If you just want to jump to the pictures, click here.)

What Happened At Roswell?

On the night of the 2nd of July, 1947, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Wilmot, a local Roswell couple, saw what they described as "a big glowing object" in the night sky above their porch. Visibility was good, and the object was described as "two inverted saucers faced mouth to mouth", and appeared the be heading towards Corona in the North West.

The next day, a rancher named Mac Brazel, who lived in Corona, 75 miles North West of Roswell, found a large area of his land covered in wreckage which he could not identify. The previous night, there had been an electrical storm. This in itself was nothing unusual for the region, but brazel also heard a loud explosion, which could not have been thunder. The fragments he found were of a thin, foil-like metal, that was very light but could not be bent or creased with his bare hands. The surface of the metal appeared to be covered in hieroglyphics of some description.

The next day, Brazel travelled to Roswell, and visited the town's sheriff. George Wilcox, the sheriff, contacted the Army Air Force Base.
