GHOSTS AND APPARATIONS
We are looking at the spirit world of ghosts and apparations and I will be sharing some of my experiences with ghosts or the effects of a ghostly presence. I have had several people ask me:"what are ghosts?" I can only answer with what I feel to be true as no actual conclusions have been reached at this time. There are several theories as to what ghosts are and I will briefly list those theories.
1 deceased people form the past 2 entities from another dimension 3 demons or spirits from hell 4 optical illusions or hallucinations We will deal with each of these theories one at a time and if you know anything about what ghosts are please relate that info to me [email protected]
1 Deceased people This is my favorite theory and the one I mostly agree with . For some reason it seems some people die but do not cross over to their eternal destination. Causes being listed as 1. Sudden death and the spirit wants to stay in this dimensional relm. 2. A violent death by murder and the case isn't solved so the victim stays here until it gets someone to find the truth about its death.3. They are held here by a strong bond of love or hate for another individual if love the spirit stays to protect and if hate it stays to get vengence.
I placed the first one in a frame because it is the most popular of the theories as to what ghosts are and I feel the most logical though mystical one that has been proposed. How likely is it that a life form from another dimensional relm will appear as some one from the past or a departed loved one. I don't think this theory holds much credence though it is a viable theory I must admit. I do believe that there are many more dimensions beyond the four that we know. Fruthemore I believe that heaven and hell are located in a different dimensional plane than our physical universe.Demons or spirits from hell in some cases I do believe that is exactly what the apperation is but not in nearly all cases probably less than 25%. Demons are always evil and never do any lasting good for anyone. Optical illusions and hallucinations most certainly play a roll in some reported ghostly apperations but again not over 25% of the cases do these apply.
Now we will get on with the continuing saga of my ghostly experiences.
THE HAMMERING
Ruth and I had built a new home from used lumber that we got from tareing down an old house, a very large old house. I have always heard that ghosts and spirits will attach themselves to things and that must have been the case in the lumber from the old house. Many strange things happened in our house and this is how I learned that not all spirits are demons and that ghosts are quite real and a much different type of entity.
We moved in the house before it was finished inside so every night we would work on it . Soon when we would go to bed we would hear te sounds of hammering eminating from somewhere within the walls of the house it seemed. We would get up and look all around for the hammering sound but as soon as we got out of bed it would stop we had a child that was around 1 year old so it wasn't doing any hammering. Nearly every night we would just get settled into bed and the hammering would begin, I would get up and look around listening but never finding out where it came from as it would always cease shortly after I would arise.
Were we frightened? Not at first but after we realized we were dealing with something beyond the norm it was a little frightning. So believing that all spirits were demons we began pleading the blood of Jesus, quoting the scriptures and commanding it to leave our house all to no avail. I couldn't understand for I know demons must leave when dealt with in this manner. This went on for a few weeks when I finally arrived to the conclusion this is no demon or evil spirit. Now I had to change my opinions about the existence of ghosts as I knew what we were hearing had no normal explanation. We never did locate the source of the hammering but after two or three years it did subside.
FOOT STEPS IN THE HALL
We had three children from the oldest to the second one 15 months and from her to our son 18 months. As the kids were toddlers when I would hear footsteps in the hall I would immediately get up to see who was up and what they wanted. One night I heard the footsteps and arose to see what was wrong usually it was Becky our oldest. To my surprise and dismay no one was up Ruth was snoring away all three kids were in bed sound asleep, so I returned to bed just as I was dozing off I heard the footsteps again and again no one was there. This event was to continue as long as we lived in the house. Ruth told me I was hearing things for she never heard any footsteps when no one was up. One night it happened she heard the sound of someone walikng down the hall and woke me up to see who was up. I made her go with me and we found just what I thought we would no one was up and the footsteps ceased just as we got out of bed. One night when Becky was about ten she declared she heard a young child playing with a ball in her room and there was no one there but her. All of us heard the footsteps and never did discover any explanation to them but the supernatural probably a ghost as it did not respond to our efforts to exorcise it from the house either.
THE RED BALL ON THE WALL
My oldest daughter will tell you to this day that she would wake up to the sound of a ball bouncing and see a red glowing orb on her wall. She declares that it was just there on the wall.
The first time she saw the red orb or ball she screamed "MOM, DAD COME QUICK!" We jump out of bed and run to her room to find her trembling in fear and crying. "What is wrong", we asked. "What is wrong?"we would ask. She told us there had been the sound of a bouncing ball and that she saw a red glowing ball on here wall over her head. At first we were sure she had been dreaming but this event happened more than once and she wasn't inclined to lie. Over a period of time we would hear footsteps that sounded like a child and sometimes a bouncing ball but we never did see the red ball on the wall. Becky came to accept it a the harmless antics of a ghost of a child and learned to live with it.
