You
cannot rule out normal human feelings or emotions. These are part and parcel
of being who we are. But it's what we do with those feelings that determines
our spirit lessons. For instance... if someone really hurts you whether
emotionally or physically ...it is fairly normal to feel the need for revenge...but
you cannot take action on those feelings without harming yourself or others.
However...You can take other types of action to ensure that you are not
put in that same position all over again with that person...but again...
revenge is not an option. Well... it should not be an option if you wish
to choose wisely...free will is the operative word here....Depending on
the type of hurt...You may only have to walk away...You might need to cut
yourself off from that person...You may have to do other things such as
involve the police, etc...but that is alright. Boundaries must be set.
But a word of caution here...make sure the hurt is real. Do not cry wolf
or press false charges. There are going to be times we feel hurt because
we cannot get our own way, or we do something that's not good (and we want
to get away with it) and we get caught. There are also times we exercise
poor judgment and we simply have to face the music...Those examples serve
to teach us those lessons we would prefer not to learn. Don't try to walk
away from those types. But again...free will is free will. If someone
is driving drunk and or without a license you don't need to be with them.
And you do not need to enable them by continuing to act as a designated
driver. You can just walk away...and call the police. You don't have to
live with a child molester. You can call the authorities and report it
and walk away. You don't have to live with someone who uses you as a whipping
post. You can get an attorney, etc. and walk away. You don't have to let
others take advantage of you. You don't have to clean up the messes others
leave behind and bail them out over and over again. Bail yourself out.
Face the truth. It serves no true purpose to cover for others for it only
hurts you and your soul. So... we can judge the actions of other people,
and we can judge our own actions...but we cannot judge the soul of a person,
only the Creator knows what the big picture is and only the Creator knows
all the players and the parts they play. If you are concerned about spirituality
and whether you are or are not spiritual... then you are already stepping
onto the right road. And know this...People who are mean or hateful...selfish
or cruel...people who are takers and are greedy....people who use others...people
who hide behind a set of laws and use them for personal gain...never give
one thought to their soul or spirituality. Or to yours! They
are the ones who live by the creed of so what....
