Cordy is starting to feel a little ashamed of her uncool boyfriend Xander and shunned by her friends for dating him. She really likes him, but feels pressured by her peers to dump him. Will she follow her heart or succumb to the pressure? Succumb to the pressure , of course. So she breaks up with Xander. Xander is angry and confused by this unexpected turn of events since he thought everything was going fine with Cordelia. Lucky for Xander, he finds out that Amy has inherited her mother's power over witchcraft and decides to blackmail her into doing a love spell for him. He wants her to cast a spell on a locket he was going to give to Cordy to make her fall for him so he can get revenge and dump her. Amy being a novice screws up the spell and it backfires, making every woman in Sunnydale who sets eyes on Xander fall for him, except Cordy.
