Buffy is still having dreams about Angel. She is still suspended from school, thought her mom is trying to get her back in. Willow is trying to get buffy to go out with a guy named Scott Hope in an attempt to help her move on. A new slayer named Faith arrives, she has lost her watcher at the hands of a vampire named Kakistos. Faith has been called due to the death of  Kendra. The right-hand of this vamp is Mr. Trick who is stalking Faith down for Kakistos. giles is trying to get information out of Buffy about what happened the night Angel was killed to do a spell to keep Akafla dormant. Buffy helps Faith defeat Kakistos. Buffy finally tells everyone that Willow's spell did work and she had to send him to hell anyway to close the portal. Giles confesses to Willow that there was no spell he was working. Buffy accepts a date with Scott. And Angel returns. Trick starts working for the Mayor.
