Its career day and Buffy wonders what is the point, her fate is sealed to be the slayer. Spike is trying to find a cure for Drusilla's weakening condition and turns to a mystical book. The book , however, requires a translation key and so he sets out to have it found. The gang discovers that Spike is up to something and sets out to discover it. Realizing he can't get things done with buffy around he contracts the Order of Turaka, a ruthless and relentless pack of mercenaries.  They stop at nothing and just keep coming one after the other until the contracted hit is done. A mysterious girl also arrives. (First appearance of Kendra.)
