A second slayer has appeared and everyone is confused. It turns out that during Buffy's NDE (near-death experience) at the hands of the Master a miscommunication occurred and the next slayer was called. With the new slayer Kendra around Buffy, for the first time, sees that she may be able to have some normal kind of life. Things heat up when it is discovered that angel has been kidnapped by Spike and Dru. It turns out that Dru's cure is a ritual that requires the death of her sire, Angel. Dru gets a chance to torture Angel for a while before the ritual, much to her delight. Can Buffy save Angel? Can she talk Kendra out of killing him?
