This is the famous Orion constellation
in the winter sky. Take note of the nebulosity
below the belt of Orion which is the
Orion Nebula (M42). The Horsehead Nebula
is barely seen here at Zeta Orionis
(the leftmost star of the hunter's belt)
Also, the faint Barnard's Loop nebulae
(shaped like an arc) can be spotted
to the left of the hunter. This view
was taken with the Olympus OM-1 SLR
camera with 50mm f1.8 Zuiko lens,
5 minute exposure. The camera was guided
piggybacked on a German-equatorial
mounted Celestron Newtonian
telescope at Batu Layar Beach in Peninsula
Malaysia.
